Yes.
It's bit like relativity, our perceptions of reality are different depending upon our point of observation, with none of us being more right or wrong than the others.

Thankfully when I log in I see the old one.
New one is AAAAWFULLL and would stop me visiting the site.0 -

Yes quite agree about auto login so this is what I have decided to do to overcome the terrible presentation.
My point of ditching MSE relates to a situation if/when the MSE site changes to the new layout regardless of login or not.0 -
OMG, just had my first unintended encounter with the new look forum. Luckily logging in got me back to the old format.
What are the benefits of the new format supposed to be? Surely Google didn't prescribe acres of white space and random huge fonts for unimportant things such as post count?
Please, MSE, don't force people onto the new format. It would reduce the quality of the forum as many of the regulars just wouldn't bother any more.0 -
I'm now getting a banner at the top of the page trying to seduce me into swtiching over. I clicked the "Read more info here" link and the page it took me to was really helpful. I think you should all take a look at the information provided if you are still undecided about the new look site.0

.
Google demand exactly that. Comply or your website is dropped far down the rankings.

Expect many more websites to turn to layouts like the new MSE forum design due to these google rules. I like modern powerful phone technology and am all for it being embraced but tbh I never use the mobile version of websites, I almost always prefer to force the desktop version on my phone to get full functionality. I do not like the acres of white space either - I am perfectly capable of using pinch and zoom if things are close together Google.
Here is another example of a recently changed website to fit with these Google criteria which is imo awful as well - http://news.bbc.co.uk0 -
