when i ran my old mercedes on vege oil i found Lidl to be the cheapest, they sell it in 15 litre packs. only trouble is they are all 1 litre bottles, it was 47p a litre when i last bought some a few years ago. they may not be the cheapest now though.0

I haven't found anywhere cheaper than my local Tesco - £8.20 for a 15 litre drum - just under 55p per litre.
Don't forget that you're supposed to keep the receipts in case the nice taxman wants to check up on you:D0 -
try some asian supermarkets they have large 20litre drums work out at 49p per litre
btw tried svo and it eventually caused first start stall probs0 -
You see people coming out of Macro with trolleys full of veggie oil.0

Hmm where does it say this? I can't imagine many people using more than this. If this is true this is good news.0 -
Look here for details http://www.dieselveg.com/
Revenue & Customs biofuels simplification - Change in the way UK vegetable oil fuel duty is collected was passed in Parliament on 8th June 2007 and will come into effect on 30th June 2007
You can use upto 2500 litres of vegetable oil a year, i think i might go and buy myself another diesel car!0 -
Are there guides to which diesel cars like straight veg oil with no additives or car modifications? I understand some cars will choke on it and some will happily burn it with no problems.0

The local ASDA near me has a limit of 6 bottles per customer on one particular type of oil. Have never looked closely but it seems quite obvious why people are buying so many bottles at once.;)0
