Where do you get your yellow sticker bargains?

Tesco sometime after 7pm. Pot luck, sometimes only a few items, sometimes loads, most are 90% off. depends how many other people are also looking. You need to know the routine of your local store. Mine start marking down after lunch with a few pennies off. Some would be happy with that. Then a second mark down at around 4pm, still not cheap enough for me. The later the shop the cheaper it is, but there may not be much left. I plan my meals around what I can buy cheap, don't have set ideas on what I will eat, except no meat or fish or junk. I eat tons of veg, every night if I can get it cheap enough. Going tonight to see what there is.

Today (Sunday) in Tesco I went at 2:45pm and managed to get shopping which should have been £15.90 for £6.48 pretty pleased with that! Some items had 2/3 stickers on but some only 1 so need to figure out when they do 2nd rounds of discountsComp Wins on Twitter to Date: 20 Prizes!

I usually go to T at about 4:30, just when the second round of reductions has been done. 40-60% off on the meats. You also still get the £2 discount when buying "3 for £10" packs so you can get 3 packs at £2.60 each (£7.80) then £2 off that, so less than £6. Coupled with my partners staff discount card, it works out about 50% discount0

Oh how I love the yellow stickers !!
Best time of the day for shopping.
ASDA usually have some 10p bargains.
Morrisons can be as low as 9p.
TESCO have some even cheaper bargains, I've even bought packets of broccoli for 2p which mysteriously appeared as 0p when I used the "Scan As You Shop" handsets. Yes, I've discovered an anomaly and they were literally GIVING it away.
As has been said earlier, getting to the TESCO bargains is challenging.....it's worse than a rugby scrum.
I also really ike using the self-checkouts in ASDA
(Why I hear you say ???)
When a yellow sticker doesn't scan, a long number has to be input by the checkout supervisor. Er...not necessarily, because you can Do It Yourself !!!:T
And did you know ???
The last 2 digits of the long number is the price.
So if the number is, let's say, 20514000010 (which I think is reduced bread) the price has been reduced to 10p.
So, when nobody's looking, if you type in 20514000001 the price you pay is 1p.:j
Now you know why I like these checkouts, but BE DISCRETE if you do likewise because I don't want other MSEs to get into trouble !!
I've never been challenged yet, but if I am, I'll just HAGGLE, since they obviously want to get rid of the marked-down products.0 -

Why are so many people on these boards openly willing to admit to shoplifting/fraud/theft ?0 -
It was actually an ASDA checkout supervisor who told me the above fact.
Perhaps if they printed the barcodes legibly in the first place we wouldn't be privy to this information.0 -

I believe the information is well known ( I have certainly known about it for several years ) that on discount barcodes part of it contains the price. It is your abuse of this information that is shoplifting/theft - regardless of who told you about it.0 -

Anyone who is proud of getting £30 of food for £7.50 is a mere amateur yellow sticker shopper0
