Come on, it's not tradition - it's DS staying up all night, as fascinated by the stats:rotfl:!

He's not this time round  he's far too captivated by Bradley Walsh circa 1997 and Jenny Powell in that skirt that I dearly hope she doesn't have any more

Wheel of fortune has his absolute attention at the moment :o :rotfl:

I kind of wish the English did have a say on our independence as a lot of them just want us moaning scots to sod off. :)

I should point out that I am in fact English. I've been up here so long I class myself as Scottish.

I was a Lib Dem supporter right up until Cleggy sold his sole in 2010. I thought long and hard befor aligning myself with the SNP and I believe it was the right choice. :)

You're not moaning at all. I agree with you. I'd do the same. Except that I believed in a lot of what the Lib Dems had to say - I didn't actually vote for them in the general election last time as I didn't think they had any chance of winning in my area. I can understand many people that did though, that did so hoping to get a Labour government and ended with the complete opposite!

As for 'another election before Christmas':( - so what? Even though it's been a long campaign (and who decided to set that timescale?), what's wrong with giving the people another say?

The thing I think will cause a lot of uncertainty though, is if we have a long campaign about whether or not to stay in the EU. I think a referendum would be a disaster for the economy - and brought to us by... the Conservatives! Not very often do people seem to mention that. A lot of business benefit hugely from being in the EU and all a referendum period will cause is dragging uncertainty - precisely the stuff that spooks the markets!

I'd avoid all that and not vote Conservative. (I really am off the fence now:rotfl:!) I suppose this is helpful though to a public debate, members of the general public and not politicians (as far as we know!). If you don't like, then skip! But I will shut up in a moment I promise! That's not to say that a coalition/minority government would be more secure and not have its own uncertainty, but in my view far preferable to possibility of exit EU and damage that would cause - still less if the UK actually were to go and leave the EU - but to suggest that the Lib Dems are the only way of providing 'stable government' is wrong too in my view.

    Oh no:(:rotfl::rotfl:!

I can understand that though - we go from periods of interest in one thing to another. I've currently got a 'special interest' in the election now though (for good or bad). And Rebecca Jones just now says "...and with just a few hours to go till the polls open...", ooooh, exciting:D:D:D, it's getting me quite excited! Whatever the outcome(:rotfl:).

Quite exciting, an adrenalin rush... you know, when you're playing a computer game that you really like? Or watching a favourite film and get excited by it...? That sort of thing.

Oh we are bound to get a bit het up about the election. It's a big thing. And there's no getting away from the hype.

We can all have different views. Agree....disagree....it'll all be over soon and we will carry on regardless of our views.

it's interesting to me that there was ALOT more discussion and diverse views and tolerance on here about devolution than a general election.....

Feelings were high and they just aren't that high for the election. I think that says an awful lot.

We will still come together to glitch whatever our views ;)

    :kisses3:

Got told off by DD3 for going on earlier. :o

When I was trouted she was with me and I was not sure I might be in for a bit of a debate when supervisor came over so asked her if she wanted to go and sit in car. Knew she would die of embarrassment if things got a little awkward.

Anyway I tried to explain on the way home but think it was a bit too long winded. :rotfl:
