Carphone Warehouse Refuse to accept Online Orders?!?
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing some problems with carphone warehouse as they refuse to accept my online order( directed from quidco) for two times! calling the CS and they saying that there was a problem with the order and offered to remove previous order and take the order by phone!!! I don't get the point of what is exactly they're advertising on their website " Order Online" ...Does anyone had such a problem? Do you think it's because of going through Quidco? What should I do if I want to get that cashback ?!??

Placed an order online yesterday for a Pay Monthly phone deal via Quidco to get £60 cashback
By today still had not received any despatch info from CPW.
Called CPW 17:00 today to be told that there was a problem - their story was that their system failed to take my CC details correctly!
Very suspicious story and why was I not told straight away?
Then they asked me to supply my CC details over the phone - which I foolishly did!
Now I realise that this transaction would no longer be wholly online and I would lose my Quidco cashback!
Nice SCAM!
Cancelled the order and resubmitted a new identical one - this time will keep it online only.
What's the betting CPW will try and wriggle out of it?0 -
Yes - it's just happened to me.
See my post CPW SCAM !!!
Told me there was an issue with my CC number and asked me to resubmit it over the phone - which I foolishly did!.
Cancelled the order when I realised their petty game and then resubmited a new one, this evening - will see what happens.
It seems Carphone Warehouse are avoiding online orders made via Quidco!!!
Have informed Quidco about this - but will they care ??
Best policy is to avoid any request to resubmit order details over the phone and tough it out online.
People take note !!!!
Could be a Trading Standards issue at the end of the day!
Anyone know the email for Charles Dunstone ?0 -
I would be surprised if they did it to get out of paying quidco otherwise they would be spending a hell of a lot of time on the phone re-taking details (which would be costing them money and their reputation)
Did the page load properly after entering your details?0 -

And CPW's response to my new order ...
Thank you for ordering with Carphone Warehouse Online.
Unfortunately we haven't been able to process your order as the network you applied for has declined your request for a mobile phone account.
Please note that this decision was made by the network and not by The Carphone Warehouse.
So CPW really have F****d me off!0 -
There is a problem with CPW. They apparently cannot process online orders if your bank details are Alliance & Leicester or Halifax.
But, they can process Barclays!
If you phone them they can process it. But then of course you would forego your Quidco cashback.0 -

Yes, it is the network in this case, not CPW. The networks use different credit rating agencies. I've known TMobile orders to be tricky for some reason. If you were to try again and you were wanting an 02 contract, you might find it ok.
Was it a TMobile contract you were trying for?0 -
If CPW just confirm a few details on the phone it should not affect quidco cashback. I had to do the same earlier this year and got my quidco cashback. But always double check this with the advisor when you ring them.0

Completely beyond me why people still order from these idiots.Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????0
