crutches I haven't read all through here but from the bits I have seen, I think you may be entitled to free legal aid in relation to the housing eviction matter. You need to contact a housing solicitor immediately and ask them to do an assessment. They can make a huge difference in cases like these.0

You are entitled to an assessment of need under the Community Care Act. Have social services provided a written copy of this. Does it need updating? Children's services have a section 17 fund for emergencies for the children/ family, this is discretionary but payments are frequently made from it. Have you been through the complaints procedure to get help from social services

The best thing you can do re CAB is go down there next time they're open - if you turn up about 20 mins. before the doors open you should get to be seen pretty quickly (depending on bureau's system where you are as they are all individually managed). They might refer you to Shelter, but at least they would probably be able to phone them while you're there to make an appointment.Torgwen.....................

Hello crutches, I am sorry to read of your plight. Can't help with any advice that hasn't already been given but would like to give you words of encouragement. Have you got any friends that can help with the children to give you a break?0

have social services got a nursery nearby? ours has one in the town centre, but it's very full. instead of them paying half fees at where you're currently using do they have any free spaces at their own nursery you could use instead? i'm assuming your 4 year old will be at school in september so nursery fees will stop, or is it the baby in nursery and i'm being a muppet?52% tight0

jellyhead you could never be amuppet:)
4 year old is in playgroup feesare£4 a morning.goes 2 mornings.
will be in school f/t sept(hooray!).
ss have no nurseries...gwynedd is not likethat.:(
they farm outto local nurseries who are usually full.SS will pay "a bit" for baby to go if WEfind the place ourselves and only for upto 6 weeks.most nurseriesfeel this is too much hassle when it takes AGES to get their ££.i cant really blame them.Every day above ground is a good one0 -
