  • I used to sprinkle bicarb onto my carpets, leave a few hours then hoover it up to freshen them up (sis did the same with potty training kids and vomiting accidents etc)

    busy day today,
took MIL to hospital appointment had to put £15 diesel in to cover the trip, I get just under half back :(
weekly shop at aldi and lidl done for £31.42 :T I did forget my list which resulted in the forgotten teabags and ham that I will have to pop in for later but apart from that I think I did well :D
walked the hounds this morning then had a sit on a bench overlooking the fields and mountains, nobody around it was absolutely silent except for the birds, lovely and peaceful until the dogs spied another dog in the distance, I nearly fell off the bench with fright

tonight we have sports clubs so we will be home late, we will have french baguette, ham and salad for tea, quick and easy and everyone likes that :)

I've checked the bank and updated my book of doom, tried my best to find a few spare £s to take off the debt, only need £4.82 to get under 10700 but everything is accounted for :(

I haven't used my tumble dryer for so long I had actually forgotten about it :)

quick cup of tea now before attacking the rest of my to do list

This is going to be a spendy weekend :(
Need to buy a tool to change a part on my car £??
    Family birthday meal £70+ :(
Birthday Cards and presents hopefully less than £10
Ds1 cup final aiming to spend less than £10 but not sure how much tickets will be yet so could go up to £20
Isn't it annoying when you've spent so much time watching every penny only to see ALOT of them fly out of your purse in one go :(
Ah well it will be a fun weekend catching up with family :)

Had a really lovely time catching up with family at the birthday celebrations this weekend, very tired now though, we could do with another weekend to rest :)
DS1 lost the cup final but he still got a medal, I was very proud either way :D
Spent quite a bit of money :( £95 on the meal, £11 on gifts, £18 at sports
Top up shop will be cheap today only need washing powder, bread, milk and hairspray :D
Got a few things to sort out for camping at the weekend and unfortunately top of the list is my car :( she wouldn't start yesterday so I need to get her booked in, we can take dh car if mine isn't ready but it's an expense I wasn't expecting :( but in other news DS1 sports dinner is now half the price I was told so that's saving me £20 :D

    Today's list is :
Update book of doom and check bank
Go through to do lists (they're everywhere  )
Finish filing course notes and read next chapter
Make a list for camping and put things aside to pack
Try and get some more work in for next week

    and I'm happy because :
it's stopped raining at last so the dogs don't need to stand at the door with their legs crossed any longer :rotfl:
The house I like is still for sale, I am feeling determined that it will not sell before we are in a position to make an offer, it's been for sale for over a year and the area we are in is a bit far out so the houses aren't selling fast :)
    I can dream :rotfl:

Phew home at last, took MIL to Hosp appointment, takes up most of the morning because its a 40 min drive away plus all the waiting around,
Having a nice cuppa now then got to get on with the rest of my reading, also need to renew/return library books later and pop into chemist,
dd has sport tonight £4 nothing else to spend though :D
No more payments made to debt :( but everything's ticking along as it should be
Halfway to my next SB payment :)
been thinking about looking into mystery shopping but not really sure what it entails, will have a little look later :)
