Who is going to buy all the phones, computers, clothing etc that they are making these days, if we're not around? Besides, the Chinese own chunks of the UK; Weetabix, Manganese Bronze, .....

Personally I think the SNP may help Labour to revert back from it's failed neo-liberal Blairite experiment, and start to serve the public again. A good place to start would be by ditching the austerity policies of the other right wing parties.
