3 reception in rural ireland very iffy!!0

Don't forget that any calls via access or dedicated alias numbers also have a cost for calling the local number here.
People say things like free using your inclusive minutes, but the bundle of minutes has a cost.
Thus it may well work out just as cheap to use brands with low direct dialled rates.0 -

Sorry for sounding abit duh this morning but why am I not getting this! lol So there is a cost involved for calling this mobile in Ireland? Eg Ringo lowest rate is 2.7p per minute, do you mean a connection call??
Yes, I think so. I don't know much about Ringo, but from a brief glance you can allocate a UK number for each of your frequently called contacts, or go via an access number for those you haven't added yet.
So the total cost of a call has two elements: the Ringo tariff plus whatever it costs to call the UK number.
Someone with a bundle of UK minutes might reckon they average out to a bit under 2 pence a minute, while someone on plain payg has a choice of brands at 3p to UK.
I'd also suggest that if you are sometimes in wifi coverage, or have mobile data included, you can use VoIP brands to call via a data connection to the other phone number, and some also offer access number methods for when you aren't. And rates may be cheaper than Ringo, without such a large top-up needed for best rate.0 -

NO connection charge, the Eire Mobile number is converted to a UK landline number, that is a cost if ur PAYGO. I have 500 minutes on my monthly contract with Tesco so they are part of that.
Another reason I use Ringo rather than the other providers is that your smartphone automaticaly converts International numbers.
As I stated before try it for free first!!

The Ringo Call is in two parts.
Leg 1. You phone the UK 01/02/3 access number for the number whether its dedicated or not. The call is chargeable its not free it comes at a cost even if you have inclusive minutes because you pay for the inclusive minutes.
Leg 2. They connect you at the appropriate rate per minute.depending on the size of your original top up. The cheapest rate is not 2.7 p a minute, you need to add 20% vat.
So lets say your paying 3p a minute for your call to the 01/02/03 access number and 3.27p a minute to the destination ( 2.7 +20% =3.27) The call is costing 6.27p a minute .
Which can be beaten.0 -

Be aware that the call prices for 084, 087, 09 and 118 numbers will change on every landline network and on every mobile network on 1 July 2015.0 -
Ah didn't realise there's 2 separate charges! Anything else on mind which can beat Ringo??
Sunni
Are you PAYGO?
or have you a monthly contact with some UK minutes in that contract?
how many minutes have you got?
