Calling a mobile in Ireland? International calling card? changing to pay monthly

I think you need a data/wifi connection initially to assign the Uk number to the Eire mobile. After that you don't need it

http://www.dial123.co.uk/cheap-calls-to/ireland/ comes out top.

To get lower then 4p a minute Ringo will require you to top up by 40 dollars. Although i cant see what 123 minimum top up is.

What Uk network are you going to be on some offer cheap eire calls.

Yes. i topped up with £50 approx to get that rate. Its lasted me over a year

Yes the OP will only be calling a mobile in Ireland once a week for 10-15 minutes, say its 60 mins a month it would be £1.62 with ringo and £2.40 with dial 123

£50 with ringo is gonna last me a long time!:D

If you have a spare phone the cheapest payg rate i have seen to Eire Mobile is http://www.delightmobile.co.uk/pay-as-you-go/rates/international-rates.aspx# 4p a minute .Min top up is £5. Must make a call every 180 days to keep it going.

As the OP mentions they want to go on a contract, EE do 2 monthly add-ons on contract for international calling, £6 for 100 minutes or £10 for 250 minutes,

Ringo oK if you have the money and they stay the course and hold the rates.

3 have already started in Eire to combine 3 and 02 .
