Hello

I'm changing from payg to pay monthly and there's a mobile I call in Ireland and wondering whats the cheapest way to ring it? I understand mobiles to Ireland aren't included in the tariff.

Can I get an international calling card or anything else? Does it expire say in 30 days as I only make a 10-15 minute call approx once a week to this mobile in Ireland?

Thanks

sunni

if u have a smart phone?

download "Ringo: International Calling" app from google playstore or Apple store

irish (Eire/ROI)mobiles are from 2.7p a minute (depending on how much you preload the app with)

you get a couple of free calls to start!

    http://www.ringo.co/

I have been using it daily for over a year. It connects thru a UK '03' number which should be part of your monthly allowance/tariff

To avoid any doubt, by 'Ireland', do you mean Eire/ROI (i.e. not Northern Ireland)?

Do the person you calling have smart phone?
Use apps like LINE, Viber or Whatapps to make free call.

my personal experience with Eire Mobile connection, unless both parties have a excellent wifi connection it can be very hit & miss, especially in rural parts.

Ringo works everywhere 99% of the time, as no data connection needed to receive

Thanks everyone. I've an iphone but person I'm calling doesn't have a smartphone.

Yes it's Ireland I'm calling not Northern Ireland.

So with ringo do you just buy credit? If I bought £10 credit would I have to use it within a certain time? I only ring the mobile about once a week for 10-15 minutes!

The person receiving does NOT need a smartphone. You buy credit, I dont think there is an expiry on it. The more you buy initally......... the cheaper the call.
also ur number comes up on the called Eire phone
If you want? send me a Private message with ur mobile number. By return I will send you an invite to join Ringo by the official App
We both then get a few free calls for you to try out at no expense to you.

Most of my family live in Eire.................this is how I keep in touch

So my number will still come up as usual on their phone?

I might buy more credit if I thought it didn't expire as such

Yes Your number comes up on their phone. Sometimes the app can be tricky to find in the Apple store(send me a PM if unable to get it)
