  • i requested mine straight away the last 13 years has only taken 7 to 10 working days this year would of taken 13 so 3 days longer they're rolling out a new system so you do tax returns monthly or quarterly so a bit of a delay was expected the problem is there is no information and they ask for national insurance but they won't take it without permission because it's a national contribution so they now send that to debt collectors
  • It was just a message in the message box on my account

I worry about them too, it's very intrusive I would imagine & time consuming as we know x

Does anybody know what security checks they do should i worry bout them

Hi, they are always harping on about security checks. My hubby genuinely got checked two years ago, filed on 25 April, payment was in bank on June 1st. They aren't checking your return just making sure it's not fraudulent. Think it helps if you are on electoral role etc hope that helps

I just called them just now and was told payments are taking up to 5 weeks due to a backlog and if you get the random security check it will be even longer!

anyone else spoken to them today? if so what was there answer lol .

This answers everything. Im literally f#$ked, since my return submitted on 14th.. Lesson learned, never rely on smth then you dont know when its coming :(

I've now contacted Radio 4's Money Box about this. It is simply unacceptable given that they have effectively hijacked and held on to more than £12,000 of my redundancy money.
  • Just phoned them the woman saying problems with anybody submitting after the 7th all updates are being done should recieve money in 10 to 14 days or security checked longer think they are telling everybody the same
  • I think their just making up sh*t as they go along
