HMRC Repayment Pending

Everyone is frustrated but keep ringing them could be counter productive.let them sort all this mess out but I'd be suprised if anything gets sorted this week.pending since a week ago today

Filed on the 6th . Requested repayment on the 7th and payment is pending. Never been this slow

I just called them just now and was told payments are taking up to 5 weeks due to a backlog and if you get the random security check it will be even longer!:mad:

anyone else spoken to them today? if so what was there answer lol .

I'd assume them saying upto 5 weeks meaning for anyone who has only just submitted!, well hope so anyway, lanzarotes booked for the 20th may :-/

They said everybody who submitted on 7th havent been paid yet due to the sytem problems

If the problem has been caused due to a software update why did HMRC decide to update at one of the busiest times of the year.

Why don't they put all this software problems on their site then at least people know what's going on

Clearly idiots ain't they but hey ho anther week to wait,
I submitted on the 6th and it's been pending since I genuinely think this might take till May, but could you imagine the turmoil if they sent you a bil and you sent back a letter saying payment pending, if they call just say it's random security checks sorry could up to 6 weeks lll

I'm new to this forum but have been reading for a couple of days now
I filed my on the 6th and requested money on the 9th and had payment pending since then
I have just spoke to them and they say it's a computer issue on there side and as of the 20th they are starting to process payments
They also said mine was one of the ones to be done and should get funds within 10 days
