The woman implied that mine hadn't reached the point of being security checked, so understaffed is my guess.

Hey I am also still waiting, I check all previous tax return and each time was Submitted on April 9 and April 16 was payment so I do not understand what's going on now

hi don't know if this is true, just called them and spoke to a lady who said if you requested your payment after the 7th april due to a system error all payments have been stopped and and wont start again until Monday and will take upto 14 working days but should be sooner. this is the number I called and it puts you straight through 01619319070

Also in the same boat. Although I had to square up some class 4 ni before I could request payment. Last 3 years id had it by now. Been bank pending since Tuesday, not gonna ring as in my experience they can't say to much apart from security check ect. Just got to be patient.

Same here Chris,pending since Tuesday,I'm not ringing them.I'd rather let them concentrate on sorting payments instead

I too done return on the 6th APRIL , requested repayment on the 7/4. Been at payment pending ever since. I have rung & emailed to be told many different things. First it's security checks, then it was as the draft stage, then I'm in the final stages of security checks & today I was told should be done by 8th may. It has only ever taken 5 days max for all my other returns. I'm starting to feel very uneasy. So glad I found this thread. By the way the system does update on a Saturday but not again until Tuesday

Tuesday seems so far away. Why is it such a cat and mouse chase at the time we need the money the most!
