what about a single Blue rewards account ( which I now have) and a joint blue rewards account ?

It's not the current account that is a Blue Rewards account in the sense of a Halifax Reward account which is a Reward account.

You can link one of your current accounts to the Blue Rewards wallet to pay the fee and take the Rewards, but no more. Don't know, if you had a joint account, whether the other account holder could link the same account to Blue Rewards or not.

I understand that to get Blue Reward we must
1.have at least £800 paid into your nominated current account, for example through your salary or pension (some payments won’t count towards the £800 – please see below).
    2. make at least two different direct debit payments from your nominated current account.
    3. must pay the monthly fee of £3.00

I already have Barclay Bank Account and want to get A Blue Reward.
I could easily do 1 & 2 early May next month.
Do not know about 3, but I believe they will just take it automatically ??

If I do all of this three things, is my blue reward will be automatically activated or I will need to do something to activate it ?

    Thanks

Activate it via online or mobile banking.

You need to join Blue Rewards by agreeing to the terms and conditions. You can do this in online banking. As part of this process you nominate a current account which will have the £3 fee debited from it on 1st of each month.

Once you've done that you'll see a Blue Rewards wallet appear.

Then if you meet conditions 1 and 2 you'll receive the Reward into your Rewards wallet on 1st of the following month.

So to get the £7 Reward on 1st June you need to join Blue Rewards today to ensure the fee is taken tomorrow. Then you've met condition 3. If you meet conditions 1 and 2 during May you'll get the Reward on 1st June.

To answer my own question, the same current account can only be used for Blue Rewards for one person. The other joint account holder would need to use another account if they wanted to join Blue Rewards.

Well I think we make a great team in delving into these terms and conditions and attempting to decipher them.

Now, I think I'll go and try and sort Greece out for a while......

What is Greece actually, where to get info on this ??

It's a 1978 American musical romantic comedy-drama film. Oh hang on, that was Grease.

Same as spingoblin, £3 fee taken and £7 reward done 1st May.

No way to set up a SO to transfer the £7 out each month though as its not a real account so will have to redeem it manually each month.
