There's a quick link to an example above. However for councils and parking tickets, they can (if they have enough numbers) hire a court room, like the above, or a benched room for an entire week or few days and roll out a lot of these "court letters" en-mass to make it profitable.

I have a letter somewhere that I'd need to find, and scan up. It's regarding a council based parking ticket for a court date. The name signed on the paper is not recognizable. I checked. Currently, there are 142 permanent or resident sheriffs (judges) sitting in 49 courtrooms in towns and cities across the country of Scotland. Floating sheriffs move between courts and the signature and name was no one, meaning it was not lawfully binding for me to even appear. This was confirmed with a phone call to the Judicial section of the court that I was "scheduled" to appear in regarding an unpaid parking ticket. So if no judge had authorized it and they did not have me on their list, then who did? The council simply printed out paper, hired the room, and sent this out. When you appear (had friends who have in the past) you sit in a room like the above, and they deceptively act as if they are a part of the court. Beforehand, someone speaks to you, to put the fear that you can end up paying all the court fee's and double the charge. The game is to get you to agree to a small weekly or monthly amount, and by doing so you then agree that there is a contractual agreement in place. You've just done it there. So when you go into the room, they have you legally binded to pay the fine. This is the deception that goes on.

Paperwork is paramount. That's why the OP needs to scan in the letters he has

They can only impose a charge for potential losses or damages. Everything else falls under contractual agreements, so as long as you don't appeal, or correspond in a manner that agrees to their charge (which is agreeing by default should you appeal - IE; you recognize the charge) then you go to court to argue, not over the losses or damages, but over the contractual agreement.

that's a room hire place , might as well be the room above my local pub!

you keep trying to get council and private tickets mixed up,

we are talking about private parking companies abiding by POFA 2012 , and cases in England on most threads on this forum

    not Scottish council tickets

must of missed that one , can you give me an example of where this has happened?

Dallas, a grassy knoll near a book depository.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

What has this got to do with parking tickets?

The point is, that it would be ridiculous to simply pay up to these vermin, and to always look at the paperwork thoroughly. Don't just read the lines of what is being said, but check the terminology being used. Very few (if any) actually have a dedicated lawyer on payroll, and simply pay a legal firm tailored into their start up costs to write out around 5 template letters for them at a cost. These letters are filled with legal terms you or I may overlook.

The legal terms are not loyal to one specific region of the UK, but cover all of the UK
  • legal terms are in fact completely different in Scotland

companies set up like parking eye have in fact a set of " dedicated lawyers" , well solisitors any way , even CEL have three , a Mr scwarts , a Mr swarts and a Mr Swartz on call , your first posting saying "ignore them" , was correct upto the introduction of POFA in 2012 , but not the case now in England and wales

There's a distinct whiff of FMOTL around here.

I like the bit in the link which says "There is no parking at Arden Court", it amused me.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.

Why is it whenever someone posts something that another member doesn't understand or can't get their head around, which works too I may add, that they instantly throw out this Freeman nonsense in a bid to derail it? I hear it often, but having actually looked into what this is (I didn't even know what it was until I started posting on here) I find it absurd that this would even be related to this freeman hippy thing.

    x9 private parking tickets
    x3 council parking tickets

All the above eliminated, without further action. Call it 'tin foil hat wearing', call it 'freeman hippy', call it whatever you want if it makes you feel better, but the proof is in the pudding.

You can't really expect to be taken seriously when you post tommyrot about councils setting up fake courts, and then to "prove" it you post a link to a meeting room to rent in an office building which just happens to be called "Arden Court".

You really should look further into FMOTL, sounds like it would be right up your street.
