OP, have you thought of keeping your s4 and getting a cheap sim deal. The S6 looks a great phone but do you really need it?
Or you could buy a cheap Chinese phone from Amazon. Those below £100 have amazing performance.
I have a note 2 that is now 30 months old and I have managed to reduce my monthly cost by 2/3 since the end of my 2 year contract.
I just can not bring myself to throw money away on a brand new phone when my old one works perfectly for my need.
However I am not young and foolish, I am old and less foolish.
Plus I don't have money to burn.

Got my PAC code today from EE, and got the usual blurb, etc, etc. Wasn't impressed that he kept calling me by a nickname I hadn't agreed to him calling me.

Sim only with GiffGaff will probably be the way, or alternatively going via a CPW or such

Had 2 lines with T Mobile one "switched" out yesterday and the other "switching" out now they offered me a free tablet with 2gb internet if I stayed with them I told them I already had a tablet and did not wish to use it outside to which they replied on both occasions ok we will issue you with your PAC code..they never even offered to discuss a new deal at all and just asked which network I was going to !

I didn't get an offer of a tablet, but there was no interest in keeping me. Very disappointing but expected nowadays

Just out of curiosity, how he discover your nickname if you didn't tell him what it was?

Here and elsewhere in the forums there has been much complaining about how difficult it is to leave a supplier with long conversations on the phone, lots of offers and the transferring to the "retention team" now it appears to be getting easier and we still complain.
    Interesting.
There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.

Perhaps easier but suppliers appear to look to profit from people leaving them as well

If you cant get O2, you wont get giff gaff
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
