I think you have to post appeals to APCOA, so get the template (blue writing in the NEWBIES thread) first appeal off to them as a letter, signed/dated and with your name and address as keeper of the car, in the post 1st class tomorrow.
Get a free cert of posting and DO NOT use recorded delivery for obvious reasons (think about it). STOP phoning them!!
As they are chasing the PCN you may as well appeal but are almost past 28 days so don't waste another day. Maybe they will give you a POPLA code (explained in the NEWBIES thread). If you can get this to POPLA we'll help you win and then they'd have to refund you. I doubt they will offer a POPLA code but an appeal makes them reject it, so maybe you will get lucky.
DO NOT pay them any more money even if they don't send you a POPLA code. Get wise to this scam; this wasn't a parking ticket.
NO REPLIES HERE PLEASE, THIS IS NOT YOUR THREAD. START YOUR OWN.

Hi,
I have same story as anybody so not writing down. But my problem is that I was driving a rented car and they sent the letter to the car rental company and they let me know. They also replied to APCOA that I was driving the car and gave all of my details.
Incident happened on 21/12/2015 Issued on 15/01/2016 the car rental company got the letter on 27/01/16 and I got it last Thursday. If I ignore it what could happen? Issue date was more than 2 weeks after the incident does it matter? I also tried to pay online but when I enter the PCN number and number plate it says it doesn't match so this PCN can't be found. Any idea what I can do not to pay this charge? I'm still in the 14 days so could pay the £48 so I would need a quick answer. Many thanks 0 -

Thanks0 -
You have several legs to stand on.
Just send the appeal as 'keeper' (NOT driver) and then start your OWN new thread when you get a rejection letter and POPLA code from APCOA.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

it will sound stupid , but which one is a keeper and which one is a driver , cos im getting confused right now.
thanks0 -
they could be all the same, or could be all different
the important thing is not to reveal who was driving
the RK is the person who normally receives the letters but may or may not be the driver
sometimes the KEEPER is neither the RK nor the driver, as in a hire car or company car
the driver is the one that they would like to know the details of because as far as they are concerned, the driver broke their "parking rules" and they would like to pursue the driver for that so called "offence"
its not your job to help them , so even if you know the details, keep them to yourself
if they have sent an NTK, it went to the keeper , so appeal as keeper only
assume I was driving
