Thank you and your point well made and noted.

I am presuming that over 20 or so applications I may have slipped up on some of them. There is a lot of publicity and hype about all this and the latest says time is running out, so i need to act .

What do you mean, "slipped up"?
As already repeated, you need to provide solid mis-selling complaints for each instance.

That's a bit like saying "I have been to Pizza Hut over 20 or so times so they may have given me food poisoning on some of them" even though you have no evidence of being ill after eating there.

There needs to be evidence, not mere speculation.

Despite what some of these sharks and ignorant journalists may lead you to believe

An interesting quote from someone who represents the banks having worked in the banks complaints process who chooses to post on a site originally founded by an ignorant journalist.

To Packman - you don't need to post your reasons on here, follow the template letter process and if you think some of the reasons apply to you then put in a complaint. Remember that most of the banks have been fined and censured for lying so don't believe everything they (or their representatives who are employed based on managing complaint numbers down) tell you

I don't represent anyone other than myself and nor is it any skin off my nose who founded the site. I comment on facts not wild speculation and rabble rousing, a skill which seems to elude you.

True you don't, but realistically if you don't post your reasons it defeats the whole purpose of posting on here as you are never going to be able to get any educated advice.

This is the problem with this country at the moment. The complaints process has been reduced to a farce which is not fit for purpose. Once upon a time, complaints were the preserve of those who genuinely believed they had been wronged or mistreated. Nowadays, they are made by all and sundry (text removed by MSE Forum Team) who have led half of the country to believe that "trying it on" is both the norm and acceptable.

ooohh the irony coming from someone whose every second sentence is either a lie or a gross exaggeration,

On the other hand, if you have no complaint reason, following a template letter will not miraculously make one exist.

Remember too that the fact that a bank has treated somebody else badly does not mean they have treated you badly - or that it automatically means you are entitled to compensaion.

But it does highlight the systemic failings of the bank and lead us to believe it is more likely than not something was not correctly explained

No - it shows they are capable of getting it wrong.

But that is true of all of us, so it tells us nothing that the OP did not already know.

OP of this thread started it almost a month ago, she never returned to it...
