Happy new year El, your wild camping idea sounds out of this world!
I am going to subvert the dominant MFW paradigm - *don't* cut out the crap food! Accept that some crap is necessary in modern life unless you are a freaky superwoman and try to focus you energies on a) avoiding takeaway and b) trying to direct the crap in less unhealthy directions, not avoiding it entirely.
Plenty of time to become earth mother mclentilpants when you have retired. As a case study, I present my own mother, who went from 1/2 a bottle of wine a night and dangerously high cholesterol to borderline vegan, no added sugar eating woman with no cholesterol issues in about 6 months. She retires in a year0 -
You could make my lentil soup - sent you recipe! Cheap as cheap but tasty. Like I said though be realistic about what you want to achieve and what you can do without driving each other crazy. Food is there to be enjoyed not endured.Mortgage OP 2025 £6750/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Hi Beanie honey ... yes slowly the hard work is paying off ... still no time for slacking ( even though I am) but it's getting there ... will need to try and catch up with everyone soon ... before I start full time employment but after uni would be great if your available ?0 -

Oh don't get me wrong I don't think we could ever NOT have take aways ... but if I could cut them down to two a month instead of 3 or more a week I would be delighted
I think my health would be delighted as well
It's about getting the balance right I reckon ... but that is so much easier said than done0 -

Mr El made butternut squash soup but your recipes have been printed and are sitting waiting to be made ... thanks very much for them and the spreadsheet ( have started using it )
You know me skint I love my food ... that's part of the problem lol ... I want to just get back to real cooking and eating right even if it's only 80% of the time ... just now I'm lucky if I'm scraping 40% good eating ... and I'm not happy eating rubbish, I like real healthy food ... I know I'm weird but I actually love vegetables and things0 -
Thanks everyone for the support and advice ...0
