your right Kc I cant do housework, cant even clean myself when i go to the toilet so there is no chance of being able to do housework, dont know who on earth i was trying to kid :( ...

Phoned the Dr for an appointment, was told there are none, then asked what was wrong so I told her ( normally I wouldnt, but today the pain is unbareable) she then suggested A&E I replied I have not been in an accident and this isnt exactly an emergency, I am sure the Dr can deal with my issue, finally got an appointment for 5.30pm, hope the dr can do something about it

I could kiss my Dr, went tonight in total agony, straight away he hit the sore bit and asked if that was it, yep I replied he then showed me the wall chart and explained what was happening then got me to turn over jag in the bum and a prescription for painkillers.

Yes I am still sore, I didnt expect to be instantly pain free but the pain is manageable, I actually have the TENS machine turned off now, its been on constantly since the pain started.

I can now bear the pain that I am in and I know it will ease through time.
  • Glad to hear it went well. Take it easy El.

Thanks Tilly, will do, I have to rest my shoulder till it settles and if it isnt better by next week i have to go back for a shoulder injection, I have had this pain before and landed up in A&E with it and been given the opposite advice, this time however it was an older Dr that had much more experience ( last time I think it was a FY1 ... so a studentish Dr)

I cant get over how he hit it straight away, and knew exactly what to do, I didnt expect the jag in the bum but by then I didnt care if he took a chain saw to my shoulder I just wanted the pain gone :)

Gonna rest now ready for my day out tomorrow with Skinty and Beanie ... Beanie were coming up tae see ya :)

Good God! I think I might have gone for A&E, El - but it just shows you, you hung on and got a brilliant doctor who understood completely - I'm glad to hear it. Glad you won't be missing out on your day with skinty and beanie too :j:j:j

    Have a wonderful time!

Honestly Beanie I feel so good right now... about 75% of the pain is gone, I can handle the pain that is left no problem ... and I can move my arm without screaming the place down so I am fine :)

Havnt caught up with you in ages so it will be great to catch up again :)

I think now that I have done a few shifts in A&E I kinda got a feeling of how it wouldve went down tbh... This wasnt my usual Dr today, it was his uncle, a Dr that retired oh mustve been 20 years or so ago, lovely friendly old style Dr ... Left me wishing he hadnt retired :D

Looking forward to catching up with Skinty and Beanie tomorrow, I am at the end of my first week off of uni placement and I am determined to atleast do some fun things, need to catch up with Mg as well and see if she is up for a visit then if my feet and arm have recovered ( and they are both looking good for it) a wee hill with Skinty where she drags my sorry arsed carcass up a hill and gets a giggle at my moaning style :) we discussed Goatfell last time ... this time it might be Elfell :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway I am much happier so feel human again and able to get back on top of things... Mr El thinks he has found a finance program for the computer that might help ( he mustve been thinking about it)

    Onwards and Upwards :T:T
