Yes my circumstances of being a very hardworking, successful young homeowner.

Why not try to make something of your life instead of blaming other people for your failures?
You wouldn't be so jealous and bitter then.

Linda. I don't wish to be unkind, but you earn less than half the average wage for a UK worker, have 3 CCJ's, and live in a caravan without a car attached to it.

It's good that you are so satisfied with your life but sometimes it helps to aim a little higher.

I live near one - walked round it once... but I don't go in there as there is a charge for car parking that's equivalent to two days' food spend.

Don't they refund a couple of hours parking charge if you spend £10? And that would also entitle you to a free newspaper if you wanted one and a coffee.

The whole snob value of waitrose is beyond a joke. People are deluding themselves. A tin of beans is a tin of beans no matter where you buy it so you might as well go for the keenest price.
Here are some quick examples i found

Baxters soup waitrose £1.15 ASDA 50p current offer
fairy washing up liquid 870ml waitrose £2.30 morrison £1.33
persil small and mighty laundry detergent waitrose £4.50 tesco £3.00
Heinz beans waitrose 75p asda 70p

Obviously im being a bit selective but all im saying is,,a lot of food is branded/packaged so why be so stupid as to pay more just for some perceived feeling of betterment?

To be fair, the organic unicorn food in Waitrose is the best by a long way.

I very rarely spend £10 in any shop on food. I don't read newspapers and don't drink coffee.

    :)

    I have simple needs.

These idiot researchers have not worked out the obvious, that Waitrose has learned a long time ago to site its stores where there are people of 'wealth'. High house prices is one good surrogate for that.

Stand by for new "news" from this once-great 'news' organisation.....
    • Boarded-up shops lower the price of your house....
    • The sale of umbrellas in Manchester cause more rain....
    • The extreme density of Care Homes in Worthing has caused the local population to age.....
    • High cost of motor insurance makes 17-year-olds have more accidents....
One day, these idiots will learn about 'cause and effect'. A poll amongst prisoners in jail for shotgun murder are 60% likely to read 'Guns & Ammo' Magazine. So ban 'Guns & Ammo' Magazine and it will stop all these murders......

Ahh, but the 21 year old graduate is smart enough to understand that news is infotainment and stories are supposed to be click bait which you have clearly not cottoned on to yet....
    I think....

The point hadn't escaped me, but I considered it somewhat libellous to suggest that the 21 year old is the child of someone with a 'Mate' in the PR Department of Waitrose.....

The 'Brown Envelope' exists in many forms these days.....

    I've been Money Tipped!

The range of brands maybe? I used to be a real supermarket !!!!!. There is some stuff cheaper/ better value in some shops, but also, stuff I like better only available in some. That's why the lidl/ waitrose combo works well for a slice of society. Not only does lidl do a good range of some foods other big supermarkets don't do, but the stuff they AND the others lack, can be picked up at tescos.

As for brands, baked bean brands might be the same offering at all ( I don't really know, I'm not fussy about beans and would go for the cheapest ) but yoghurt ranges can be vastly different at asda to tesco then different again at waitrose. Not just offered brands but flavours with in ranges etc. I usually buy plain yoghurt, but I'm also occasionally keen on some others and asda is a washout, tesco sometimes ok , and waitrose good.

Tinned soup? Nah, not really, occasional tin of cream of tomato, otherwise, no thanks :)
