I should warn you that Waitrose probably won't let you park in their car park for the whole season.
Still living on mummy's breast ruggedtoast and blaming all those nasty boomers for being such a complete failure in life?:rotfl:0 -

Considering your circumstances.
Yes my circumstances of being a very hardworking, successful young homeowner.
Why not try to make something of your life instead of blaming other people for your failures?
You wouldn't be so jealous and bitter then.0 -
I live within a mile of a Waitrose and a Lidl. We have to travel at least 5 or 6 miles to get to Tescos or Sainsburys, Asda or Morrisons so I do all my shopping mostly at Lidls with one shop a month usually at Waitrose. Can't say I noticed a difference in house prices once the Waitrose went up though - it was Somerfield before they took it over.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. y wife once paid £1.45 for four free-range eggs (I didn't even know that you could buy eggs in boxes of four!), whereas I usually get six free-range eggs in Iceland for £1 (so Waitrose are more than twice as expensive); and[\QUOTE]
Yep I saw the 4 egg box - but their essentials free range 6 egg is £1Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

The whole snob value of waitrose is beyond a joke. People are deluding themselves. A tin of beans is a tin of beans no matter where you buy it so you might as well go for the keenest price.
Here are some quick examples i found
Baxters soup waitrose £1.15 ASDA 50p current offer
fairy washing up liquid 870ml waitrose £2.30 morrison £1.33
persil small and mighty laundry detergent waitrose £4.50 tesco £3.00
Heinz beans waitrose 75p asda 70p
Obviously im being a bit selective but all im saying is,,a lot of food is branded/packaged so why be so stupid as to pay more just for some perceived feeling of betterment?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -
