I hadn't realised that you were petrified of washing machines. You probably said it once, but I'd forgotten. That's the sort of thing you would discuss with various architects, to see what solutions they suggest - use the launderette might be one!

Three Aussie blokes working up on an outback mobile phone tower:
    Mongrel, Coot and Bluey.

As they start their descent, Coot slips, falls off the tower and is killed instantly.

As the ambulance takes the body away, Bluey says, 'Well, !!!!!! me, someone's gotta go and tell Coot's wife.'

Mongrel says, 'OK, I'm pretty good at that sensitive stuff, I'll do it.'
Two hours later, he comes back carrying a case of Beer.

Bluey says, 'Where'd you get the grog, Mongrel?'
'Coot's wife gave it to me,' Mongrel replies.
'That's unbelievable, you told the Missus her husband was dead and she gave you a case of beer?'
    'Well, not exactly', Mongrel says.
'When she answered the door, I said to her, "you must be Coot's widow."
She said, 'You must be mistaken. I'm not a widow.'
Then I said, 'I'll betcha a case of beer you are.'

Aussies are good at that sensitive stuff.

    I'll try :)
PC's not really up to Youtube standard. Buffers too much and I've no speakers plugged in.

I took a video of mine when I moved in here..... petrified I was. Petrified.

I never believed in time vortexes and stuff before, but your corner of the world must really be stuck in 1997 ? :)

Wait til you discover netflix. You're gonna love it. There isn't a single thing on earth the Americans haven't televised and turned into 58 episode box sets.

Our washing machine lives in the garage with the tumble drier.

Occasionally they fight; sometimes they take it out on the fridge freezer.

The trick is to show them who's boss. I threaten with the dog bed; that usually sobers them up.

    I'll try a housebrick next time ...

EDIT: You're really not helping very much are you :)
    That'll haunt me now.

Big tip- don't throw a large chunk of masonry into a spinning washing machine. Now you'll be safe!

I think washing machines have become less shakey over the years. Current one has spin of 1400 rpm and moves less than previous one. Or it could be that John lewis fitted it rather than OH.

Agree with PN on the perceived danger of putting a shaking washing machine under a boiler.

Pastures, this looks like a reasonable PC for under £200.

Never seen netflix. Seen the name, not entirely sure what it is though. Not bothered to find out .... there's lots of stuff I've simply not seen :)

It's just an online video store that you pay for by subscription rather than per vid.
