Good luck with the skin thing, I'm sure it will be fine. We've already decided that 2016 is going to be a great year.
I'm sure it'll be fine too. But always best to check!OH went and had a scan last week for aortic aneurism (free after 65 for men) and is clear. A friend had one, and was lucky to make it through the op, it was only found because he had a different scare! So even OH who is usually fairly cavalier about health stuff decided best to get it checked out!

Have a feeling the Victorian Bakers gets repeated later in the week. Just checked - it does!

It was interesting, set in an urban bakery in 1870s - a lot about how they adulterated the flour with all sorts of things. In London at that time it was impossible to buy a loaf that didn't contain alum! Also it was incredibly hard work as they had to produce a lot more bread in the urban situation than the rural - batches of bread that weighed huge number of stones, plus did days that were longer than 10 hours. By the end of the programme they'd got on to making buns as sugar had become more available and cheaper.
Last week when they were in a rural bakehouse they were delivering the loaves by foot to their customers. I have a photo of my Grandpa with his pony and cart - he used to deliver using that, but being in Wales prob too far to walk for delivery. That's how he met my Gran - she was the lady's maid at a local big house.
Forgot all about Tricks of the Restaurant Trade, think I caught the signed version in the middle of the night last week.
Just waved at ISS, saw a bit of the pass before it disappeared behind a cloud.0 -
Tricks of the Restaurant Trade repeats:

Or can watch again on 4 on demand.0 -
Quiet here today! And I haven't time to do a "proper post" because we've got to leave in a few minutes to collect grandson from school.0

Just got my dermatologist appointment - next Monday! Under the 2 week rule. Have to say that did surprise me a bit. But I'm still sure it's (almost certainly) nothing to worry about. At least we know where the parking is from when I went for the last squidge yer boobs between 2 metal plates jobbie!0

Lower back very sore again, resulting in sore legs and can't stand up without bending forward at the hips and can only walk in tiny shuffling painful steps. I do hate this getting old business...although I know it is better than the alternative.

Do you get it after a day spent crouched over a laptop? It's good if that's the cause, as it's easy to remedy. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
