Council have admitted (in writing) that they messed up.

    [EDITED]

I was expecting that to be a major struggle, but (mainly thanks to my HA rep friend) we got it sorted painlessly.

    Envy?

You do realise that a friend calls it Moonbase Alpha from Space 1999? !

I'm not sure that's a good thing, with all the space suits and explosions everywhere. :rotfl:

Built in might look nice when it's new, but 10-20 years down the line when you need another piece to match/fit, or 2-3 years when an appliance breaks down (then each 2-3 years thereafter) it'll get harder and harder to find something to fit/match -AND- it takes more money to get a proper fitter to replace said item.

If my nuker breaks, it's a quick look online, then down to the nearest supermarket that sells one for about £25. Bring it home, take it out of the box, plug it in and use it.

If a built-in one broke it'd be quite a major investment of time/cash to get it switched out and a new one, that fits/is recommended, etc is found).

    Yes ! , but it's shiny ...

You have obviously not been reading the global warming stuff, actually we should be eating less meat and more plant proteins.

    Random exercise for NP.

Lay down on the floor on your back.
Raise yor right arm and move it back over your head as far as it will go.
Do the same with your left arm. Both arms should be fully extended and at full stretch.
Your arms should be equal and you should not be in any pain.
Put your hands together and place them on the top of your head in the middle.

I can do this too. Today I got 100% range for this movement in my left arm. Functionally this means I have the range to wash my hair using both hands. Go me.

Oh dear, no way I can do that and I am a couple of years younger than you and without the medical history :(
    I think....

I'll decline the first offer... I'm not one for gratuitous discomfort and exercise :)

I'm sure I'm losing a lot of hair. The other day I pulled at the hair in the bath plughole, like I've done for years .... only to discover not a small collection of hairs, but what looked like a clump. Loads of it there was....

    I'm going bald!!

being someone who lost a lot of hair and now has lots again I want to tell you that it will grow back, but only when you fix the underlying reason it is thinning. Perhaps now is the time to register with a GP and seek advice.

Talking of eating, this week I have eaten a whole bottle of Jalapeños on my own. Should I get a pregnancy test?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Great news Spirit! I can't do that with both arms.

I've just got home after my DIY course - it was plumbing and electrics tonight, really pleased I didn't miss this one. I'd been driving my mum's car while down in Inner Herts - a Peugeot 208 (initially one 3 years old, then the brand new one on Tuesday). On getting back into my 16-year old Pug 306 tonight, I realised just how much of a tank it's become!! Nippy it ain't ...

    Either that or Pepto-Bismol ...

ETA: I don't know whether to find it strangely worrying or strangely reassuring that the auto-correct knew that P-B in the above sentence was a trademarked name, and capitalised the P-B accordingly when I wrote it without capital letters.
