Isn't Viva our resident prepper? (or prepper expert anyway) and I think Chewie has read all the books so he is probably a theoretical expert.

My research suggests the best thing to do is not bother prepping beyond buying a gun and marking Mormon churches on a map. Then use the gun to rob the Mormons who all keep a year's supply of food and bottled water in the basement.

DH as part of his job has been to Everett, a suburb of Seattle which is where Boeing is based. He's been a few times and loves it there. He thinks it's a lovely city, attractive, liberal thinking, interesting things to see and do.

The weather though is almost identical to London, so nothing to get excited about on that front.

Being a mega burger fan DH Is going to be gutted when I tell him about Doozer's place though. Another trip may have to be on the cards.

You don't think they also keep a small arsenal hidden away down there, too?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Probably not a year's supply of bullets. And endless technicolor Batman episodes have taught us that its sensible to wear dark attire while hiring teenagers to wear hi-vis yellow capes and act as decoys by drawing fire while attacking violent armed opponents.

Anyhoo I think bugslet said she'd visited Burlington so bugslet's post-apocalypse removal company is hereby engaged to transfer Nice People and nice provisions to our future subterranean sanctuary.

I knew youngest's 6th form college was good.....and it is. It has just been rated outstanding in the latest OFSTED report.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I am here, just nothing to say. No plans to travel until early next week ...but mind's occupied/wandering ... and lots of thinking/pacing about. Feeling useless and pretty sad. So not posting.

Why not go for a nice walk?

And a sit on the beach. It is beautiful out there today. It's okay to reflect, but to change your environment for a while is a sound idea.

It's okay to treat yourself too.

Do you have a dedicated zipped compartment in your handbag that you've forgotten about? My problem isn't the cheque book, it's the envelopes I need to post off a cheque to pay in! :o
