Isn't Viva our resident prepper? (or prepper expert anyway) and I think Chewie has read all the books so he is probably a theoretical expert.
    I think....

Only if your preps are Eurovision focused:o. I'm not sure a spangly Eurovision t-shirt will help me with impending armageddon.

I did however buy a plug in phone (not hands free) from copying silvercar's box (no not that type of box michaels) idea. I'm good to go as a "prepper-light"... bad weather, power cuts, that sort of thing.

Just thinking about pastures and sending her love. I doubt she'll see this...but you know...I'm sending the good will electronically.

I've been thinking of dear PN too. I'm sure she knows we're all thinking of her and sending The Vibes even if she can't get to read here at present.

    (((((PN)))))

Tiny pats on the back? Whatever is appropriate to you PN! :o:)

Anyone else having MSE trouble? Slow loading, missing pages that aren't really missing, script errors, problems posting and thanking?

Have spent a while catching up on 20+ pages on here - every 2 or 3 pages I'd get a broken connection message. Leave it for a few minutes and eventually the refresh would work to load the page properly. Edit: Just had a time-out message when posting this message, although the post did go through fine anyway.

I had a fab Eurovision with friends, and that Swedish guy was fab :o:D

I watched a fascinating programme last night, on the Roman architecture etc beneath Rome. It was presented by Alexander Armstrong and Dr Michael C Scott. It included information about the aqueduct, quarries, catacombs, and the unique combination of geology which enabled them to use 'concrete' type building materials that are waterproof and set underwater if needed. Well worth a visit on the iPlayer.

Thanks Yorkie, I'll make a point of watching that.

Whenever I visit Rome, it's hard to believe that the Pantheon is Roman and not from the Renaissance period.

Sitting. In hospital. Waiting. Nothing useful to do. It's awful.

Love to PN and her siblings.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I am really sore tonight. I cannot get comfortable in bed because my muscles are all firing after ages off group attack on me, and my joints are hurting too. Double whammy. My ankle, which is healing amazingly, is also more sore tonight.

Now, if I could get to sleep the muscles might power down, but because I'm unused to it I cannot relax to sleep, which is making me more sore....its the beginning of a nasty circle here. ;)

Right, got to try though, goodnight!

This site has been really temperamental for a couple of days for me. Times out all of the time it seems. I think Money Saving Expert is saving a bit too much money on website hosting...
