I saw it was on and knew that some of you would be here talking about it (esp Viva and CV) so I got the Kindle out to see.

I have to confess I am now in the kitchen on the laptop and OH has turned the channel over as he has no interest.

How do any of you type on a tablet? It's a right PITA. It keeps changing all the words and I can't re write them, it just changes them back again.

If I type on the iPad, a little blue box appears with its view of the correct word. If you don't want that word you can tap on the little x next to the suggested word. If you accept the corrected word and then backspace it out, it doesn't suggest it again.

Did you print out the Banksy Pic?

    Not yet :o

It's on my list of things to do though. I think I've decided that the living room will be the last room to be 'done up' as it's a good through route for bringing things into the house avoiding the front door. The is a big space over the broken 50s (?) fireplace where the previous owners removed a mirror and didn't full in the holes. It will be perfect there. Will send you a snap when it's in place. Thanks again for the pic :)

I've no way to compare, but I think parents are "worse than kids" as you have more control over kids (you call the shots and send them to be early if they don't comply) .... managing parents is a whole different/harder ballgame.

Tough times.... why does nobody tell us this WILL happen to us?

I've been thinking of them, and you .... and hoping all was progressing as smoothly/seamlessly as it could, but knowing that everything happens without warning or notice and you're not able to have choices, it's all stuff being done to you.

I remember all your posts when you first went back home for a short time and then your Dad got ill and so on.....

It's not like it hasn't happened to anyone else either.....I mean we are all going to die at some point but it seems such a surprise when the illnesses etc. arrive and make it a reality for someone close to you. I feel daft writing it down ...maybe it's in the human psyche to not think about the fact that one day we are all no more.
For us all, it's now the new normal which makes everything to come much easier to handle.

Mind you, our next door neighbour has gone downhill so quickly since being diagnosed with oesophagus cancer last Autumn, he looks almost ghost like now. We do the little things like mow their lawn etc as that's all we can do really.

You may be bettero ff with a higher res one if it's going to be that size. Just let me now which you prefer and I'll send you one about 4000 pxl.

I have a Kindle Fire (bought to try to get into book downloading) and it doesn't seem very sophisticated.....I think I may have to persevere with it as it's really handy.

The real thing has been destroyed now and no longer exists. The owners of the building were trying to sell it and wanted loads extra as it had the Banksy on it.

Last time DD went through the tunnel she said it had been painted over. He could have arranged that himself....
