Yes, base camp.
Probably because it's where those being onboarded do the necessary learnings enabling them to achieve unimaginable heights?
This reminds me of an Olympic Themed away day I went to, while working for Lloyds.
In it, the correlation was made several times that what we did was akin to performing in the Olympics.
It really wasn't. I drove round handing out doughnuts to motivate people into selling insurance products. I think all our Olympians may have worked slightly harder than I did and probably gained more satisfaction.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I imagine the guys at apple sitting around going:
Hmm, these watches cost about 50 dollars to manufacture
Our normal markup is 4x manufacturing costs so shall we charge 199 dollars?
Hmm, our competitors already charge about this much, what we need to do is charge twice as much as they do to make sure our customers realise it is a premum product.
So we are all agreed, 400 dollars - oh and 400 quid in the UK of course....I think....0 -

Sending dodgy hugs. :grouphug:
Do you need cheering up in person? Perhaps you and Doozergirl and I could meet for lunch again soon? With any other NP who are within reach of your part of the country?
Meeting up with nice people is always a welcome idea. It'd be cracking to see you again. I'd try to get the day off so I could spend a bit more quality time with you, but also so we could pick somewhere nice to go.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Went to the docs today. Still don't have cancer and if I can stay cancer-free for the next 14 months this one is highly unlikely to come back. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

I just nipped out in the rain ( outside smells glorious today) and picked a bunch of the fading white lilacs, and mint. I already had orange candles on in the cheese room and an incense stick. It smells like a divine apocathory in here.0

LIR was thinking of you/something you've said whilst in the garden the other day.
Something is growing that has long stalks & flower buds. I'm waiting to see what it is & what colour it adds to the garden. Your comment about a weed being little more than a plant in a space it isn't wanted popped into my head.
I don't want to get hacking down everything. If it is pretty and adds colour, it can stay.
Got a wealth of forget-me-nots around the garden too. Have avoided mowing/strimming them. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
