A village not far from wolverhampton regularly had a collection of its youth who had too much disposable income, but nowhere to go (can't go to the pub in a village - everyone knows everyone) had a similar epidemic.
There is a parking spot for that nearby. There are several gateways near no houses.
People so idiotic as to choose somewhere that disturbs people should not be allowed to drive. If these people make such choices at leisure, what choices will they make in a crisis?0 -
My PIP assessment now completed, I am absolutely exhausted and in pain, so I've taken to my bed to try to rest a little in a more comfortable position than sitting on my sofa.
No idea whether I will be awarded anything, I've gone into the process with the assumption I won't get anything, so more than that is a bonus. If I do get awarded anything, then one of the first things I will get is a nice new wheelchair with cushioning and suspension as mine is now far too uncomfortable to spend more than a small amount of time in.
If I don't (and I think that would be the more likely outcome), then hey ho, it was worth a try and I will get saving. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Sue, over 50% of PIP appeals are successful, so if you're rejected, my advice would be to appeal! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Probably because it's where those being onboarded do the necessary learnings enabling them to achieve unimaginable heights?0 -

There are only about 150-160 who are 107 and above.
My dad recently went to the 110th birthday party of a friend of his at church.lemonjelly wrote: »Work gets worse. I am now absolutely, royally thoroughly !!!!ed off.

Sending dodgy hugs. :grouphug:
Do you need cheering up in person? Perhaps you and Doozergirl and I could meet for lunch again soon? With any other NP who are within reach of your part of the country?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
The Telegraph has run a photo gallery on its website of patent applications from the turn of the previous century that didn't get made. Some are quite inventive (cork swimming costume anybody?) and others are just plain odd... made me laugh out loud...

Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I can't see why the coffin thingie didn't catch on.
Seems an eminently sensible and useful device.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
