Brave OH!

What you can't see on that picture are the used condoms littering the grass, although you can see the bin where the users could have deposited them, but didn't. I didn't really fancy picking them up, knowing where they'd been.
Remind me not to walk westie there.

I'm in the 1,070,000's most common. Only 133 people have this surname.
1408TH most common and high density in the Bahmas and a surprising amount in Papua New Guinea, which is confusing. Never felt any cannabilistic tendencies....yet.lemonjelly wrote: »Grumpy alert mark 2...
I didn't get shortlisted for the first job I applied for
I'll be honest, with my experience & qualifications, I'm very surprised to not get an interview.
With absolutely no enthusiasm, I put in for the 2nd job today.
I'll post an update on the things I've planted in the next 24 hours.
In which case it's almost a given that you will get the second job, the way of life.Brave OH!

A friend of mine went to Oz with her just turned 4 year old twin boys - she describes it as the worst 24 hours of her life.
Enjoy your sleep Chewie.0 -

LOL, no we didn't get to go inside. It's hard enough to get permission to go through the gates into the Street! You get to knock on the door, and a policeman comes to open it, takes your petition in and shuts the door. But it was fun to be trundled up Downing Street and catch glimpses of gardens and see something that it's very hard for ordinary people like us to get to see since Thatcher Milk Snatcher had the gates installed.0 -

You get a bassinet to put them in but when the seat belt sign is on they have to be on your lap. Because there are no bassinet seats next to each other the accompanying adults have to sit apart - either at opposite ends of the middle bank of seats (4 in most long haul flights) or opposite sides of an aisle. Oxygen masks are also a limiting factor as only one extra one for each bank of 3 seats by the windows and 1 extra one on each side of the bank of 4.
OH texted from the plane to say that they had each got a spare seat next to them which will help. I am going out there at the end of the month and then to do the return leg 2 weeks later. Not looking forward to it!0 -
Fir had to go in yesterday for um...forgotten the word......dammit. When you get shown around and shown the ropes. not acclimatisation. Dammit.....
Anyway, had to do that yesterday, not a contracted day. His dept are furious that HR did that because they are all very protective of their work hours and schedules. He only did a half day yesterday, but when he got in this morning they said he would be having a half day in lieu when he wanted it to make up for it. He almost started to laugh.
There is a problem though. There is no laptop with the job and he is expected to work from home occasionally ( totally fair enough). Previously employer has provided laptop. When he asked how this would work they said they just patch him in on his laptop.
Well, that's really not feasible. His music laptop is not really that functional ( not needed his own for other stuff for years and years) and not convinced its perfectly clean ( it took three hours to upload a cd on Sunday) so not suitable for working at home.
I find it shocking a big company with important data would let people log on on own machines and risk corruption problems? Is that because I am such a Luddite?0
