Thank you for all the nice comments about the fondant fancies! Ella is on the left.

They are very cute, but I would say that... They are still very little - 2 months old now but still smaller than some new borns are (they are about 9.5lbs, one of our friends had an 11 pounder!). They are starting to smile now which is lovely. However, because they are small they still need to be fed about every 3 hours which is really grinding us parents down! They also both have reflux issues which means A LOT of crying.

The sleep deprivation is quite something. I think the easiest way to describe it is that it is like constantly having all of the negative parts of being rampantly drunk with none of the upside.

I remember those days oh so well, both James and Josh had reflux issues with projectile vomiting, it was like something from a horror film when they got started! Youngest with being prem, was a very frequent feeder, at times it felt like he was constantly attached to me and he screamed from the day he was born until he was over 5...blooming nightmare.

Beautiful girls though and you will look back at some point in the future and although you will never quite forget the sleepless nights, it will seem so very worth it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

One of the songs performed last night by Josh and his year 13 music group....

Josh loves this song, so much so, it was one of his contrasting songs for his uni interview/auditions (which worked as he got 5 offers!)

Love it! I like his confidence behind the drum kit.
But at 36 secs in, isn't he juggling the stick just a bit too long? :)
Is he still performing with Huthier?

Sleep deprivation always reminded me of the old Douglas Adams exchange:

Ford: It's unpleasantly like being drunk
Arthur: What's so unpleasant about being drunk?
Ford: Ask a glass of water.

He got cocky hehe....did one turn too much on the stick.

Nope, Huthier disbanded some while ago now and one of the guitarists is with the merchant navy. He does have another band in the initial stages though, called Wings of Redemption.

Got several more videos from last night, it was a concert planned, organised and hosted by his BTEC music group as part of their course and also to raise funds for their tour of Barcelona in July this year where they will be performing. So Josh and 4 others have been busy over the last few months getting it all sorted and on assessment on the technical side (the wiring of everything up etc), he was graded at a Distinction.

The only 'adult' help they had was the two music teachers actually playing instruments during the concert.

It was a complete success, they had more people attend than they expected and everyone had a brilliant time.

  • This is intended as constructive comment, Josh I think needs to work on developing his technique on the hi hat cymbals. They are a versatile part of the drum kit and can greatly enhance the overall effect and introduce different sounds. This is only my humble opinion.

That is one area he is working on as he knows his skills are a little lacking in that department , unfortunately with class things like these, there are always minds that try to dictate what he does..for example, he had to change completely what he had been doing at the start of the song.

Thanks for the comment anyway, if no-one ever picked him up on stuff like that or only ever said he was great, he would never improve, so constructive criticism is always welcome and never ignored.

Anyone who takes a spirit level to it doesn't deserve to eat it IMO :)
