Downside to this is I'm also a devil to get up in the morning - I'll happily lie there for hours. Which then means I'm not tired in the evening, which leads to...
Not exactly selling myself here, am I ladies?;)
LJ, you sold yourself to the good ladies of the NP thread a long time ago. I usually get insomnia on a Sunday but no other day....joys of work, eh?
I'd say a week re the closing date. But we aren't a real firm, so I'm not great on giving advice. I've only ever been to one interview in my life * shudders*0 -
Only watched the first episode, understand it has got worse.
In contrast: 3rd world problem: packing for holiday and realising that all my sun cream is in the holiday flat - a few hours flying distance in the opposite direction.
This holiday was chosen solely on the basis of:
1. somewhere warm,
2. somewhere we haven't been to before
3. Availability of Avios reward flights
St Lucia beckons.
My pal went to a wedding there but Prodigy were there filming a video for one of their songs. They'll be gone now.;)

We have been making meringues in the microwave for years - although not recently.
Texture is a bit denser than the traditional ones.0 -
Strange fact, its possible to make meringues without separating the yokes out.

Polly - not sure about the song but....
....WELCOME to the NPT (nice people thread). This board has a bit of a history of heated debate so this thread is almost entirely off topic where we talk about uncontentious things such as mushrooms.I think....0 -

Hi Pollygarter. Welcome aboard!
We've got rich people and poor people here and all are welcome. No idea why it's called Nice People as the poster that put up the first thread did a flounce never to be seen again (at least in part my fault that one as I'm not always nice).0 -

I'm like that too. So is DD. DS, OTH, takes himself off to bed early and sets his alarm for 5am just because he likes it that way.lemonjelly wrote: »As a complete & utter aside, after spending over 4 years despairing at no jobs/progression, I applied for a decent looking job last week. Sideways step, but better circs than I'm in.
The same place (I've applied to) has now advertised another job that is pretty much made for me. Like buses these things! I'm just checking emails daily to see if I've got an interview. Which raises a question - how long does one wait after the closing date to ask if they've shortlisted?
Oooh exciting. Let us know how you get on.Pollygarter wrote: »My first dip in here... Hello all.

Welcome Pollygarter. :hello: Do tell us about yourself. What are your views on mushrooms, and do you have any connections to Judaism? Have you only just stumbled on us or have you been lurking for ages?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

But you are nice in here. As you say, all are welcome here, and that's not only whether rich or poor and whether pro or anti mushrooms, but also whether nice or not IRL or on other threads. Being nice on this thread is all that's obligatory. And carolt (the OP of the original NPT) was nice in here too. Her flouncing away was connected to ... errr ... "disagreements" outside this thread in the big bad world of the rest of the debate board.Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
