I'd say a week re the closing date. But we aren't a real firm, so I'm not great on giving advice. I've only ever been to one interview in my life * shudders*

We have been making meringues in the microwave for years - although not recently.
Texture is a bit denser than the traditional ones.

Strange fact, its possible to make meringues without separating the yokes out.

Just takes a lot more work.

Is the thread title a reference to that old Flanagan & Allen song. How did it go...Nice people, with nice manners...but got no money at all?

If so I'm good for the latter two qualities and will try to behave as a nice people!

Polly - not sure about the song but....

....WELCOME to the NPT (nice people thread). This board has a bit of a history of heated debate so this thread is almost entirely off topic where we talk about uncontentious things such as mushrooms.

Hi Pollygarter. Welcome aboard!

We've got rich people and poor people here and all are welcome. No idea why it's called Nice People as the poster that put up the first thread did a flounce never to be seen again (at least in part my fault that one as I'm not always nice).

I'm like that too. So is DD. DS, OTH, takes himself off to bed early and sets his alarm for 5am just because he likes it that way.

But you are nice in here. As you say, all are welcome here, and that's not only whether rich or poor and whether pro or anti mushrooms, but also whether nice or not IRL or on other threads. Being nice on this thread is all that's obligatory. And carolt (the OP of the original NPT) was nice in here too. Her flouncing away was connected to ... errr ... "disagreements" outside this thread in the big bad world of the rest of the debate board.
