According to the MSE guide Asda have confirmed they intend to continue paying 1% at Asda, 0.5% everywhere else with no limits or fees.
After Capital One finishes I will be switching to them, for me, £150 to £250 a year cashback is better than nothing.0 -

Might give it a go then. I see topcashback give £10 bonus if you sign up via them.0 -

Applied via Quidco. £10 cash back and more cashback to come once I get the card.
I bet ASDA will gain a lot of customers. Cap One, might regret this. But British people are generally too lazy to be militantNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

Not too many people get militant about a tenner.
I was moderately militant when I got nearly £150 from nationwide, but not revolutionary.0 -
Why did some people still get cashback, when mine stopped month ago?0

I've got the letter as well. I was pleased my 1% cashback continued after many were reduced to 0.5% (maybe because I'd been with them over 15 years) but now it is going completely I'll be moving to Asda.0

As per gs1647 above, perhaps its how long you were with them and the terms and conditions your signed up for at the time. Not sure how long but we have had it many years and were still getting 1% until this point.0 -

As I recall, there was quite a bit of discussion 12 months ago in this thread as to why some people like me we're going from 1% to 0% twelve months ago. Others were going to 0.5% and a lucky few staying at 1%.
The consensus was that if you were on 1% never taken a cash advance, never paid any interest and always settled your monthly bill then Cap1 would ditch you. If they made a little from you, perhaps in interest, then they would give you a stay of execution. They were the thoughts 12 months ago anyway. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Curiously, I only ever used it as an alternative cashcard, never borrowed a penny and repaid in full by DD, so not sure about that theory!
On 1% until the letter this week.0 -
I'm still on the 0.5% cashback, it sounds as though I may be getting a letter soon though as they've never made any money from me. Such a shame really as it was such a good deal. No fee, 0.5% Cashback & no foreign transaction fees. Halifax clarity is the next best thing giving £5 back if you spend over £300 a month and have a bank account with them which you deposit £1000+ a month. I also have the AMEX platinum cashback card but I don't like that some retailers refuse to accept it.0
