looks like Cap One has been removed from MSE's list of best buy cashback cards.

As you may already know, for legal reasons we can't put back posts that have been deleted but feel free to continue the discussion on this thread.
Thanks for replying to the thread though.0 -
Hi everyone,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We looked into this and the original thread was deleted in error.
As you may already know, for legal reasons we can't put back posts that have been deleted but feel free to continue the discussion on this thread.
There's been no company input on this. As ever, MSE always has the final word on what goes on the site but we try to keep all threads up where possible and we're very happy for you guys to carry on talking about this on here

Yes, of course.
As we don't moderate the forum, we work on a 'report a post' system, so we only deal with posts when they're reported to us.
Any content on the forum is unmoderated and we don't know about it until it comes to the forum team through the reports. We then decide if it can stay, or it needs to go. If we were to delete it, then repost it, technically, we're publishing the content.
Hope that clears it up!

Your forum, your rules, but the above sounds just a little tenuous.
Changing a "deleted" flag from 1 to 0 (or Y to N or whatever) doesnt change the status of the message other than if it shows on the site or not.
Now, I could see an issue if your system doesnt record why a post/thread has been deleted and reinstating a whole thread may bring back posts that were cancelled for other reasons to the rest of the thread and that create a problem if it had been due to a cease and desist notice etc. Obviously makes a lot of assumptions on both system and process but have seen some poorly designed things in the past. That isnt what you said though.0 -

Or finally start slow stoozing (just taken the 0.5% 'cash'back M&S card; also has 19 months 0% interest on spending, so might slow-stooze while earning my 0.5% 'cash'back.)0 -
