http://www.23rdcenturychildren.com/ To celebrate the book Children of the 23rd Century by Mel Hogan, you have a chance to win a fantastic open top mini. All you have to do is answer the question and send in your details to enter the prize draw.
Firstly they have changed end date (just guessed it as its still open and they keep changing it)so it is still open.
Flourecent Park is the only answer we can find for this but they have decided on website that it is not the answer so they may have done the answer like on the old 3 2 1 series(dusty bin?).Remember the answer to those clues..could be anything now!
2 other competitions on this site too. Win £10000 for your school and win ipods.
Edit. Thanks to sandstormer
Question was What do these clues refer to ?
1) A safe haven thats not quite neon
2) Don't be misled by what you have read
3) It's NOT fluorescent Park
4) Neon is an acronym, Near Earth Orbiting New..............

Hmm apparently the answer's in the book.. I wonder whether it's in the library, because I live one road over from one lol but I think it's closed now. Oh well when I'm in town tomorrow, I shall stop in the book shop and have a quick peruse

The only thing I could find on the internet which was of any use was an article on the book which had the following;
"Only at night when the pollution levels disperse, will the planet’s street children be able to venture out to the fluorescent park, a disused piece of land, which is a safe haven from the underworld gangs."
Started Comping - August '07

The title of the book is The Lost Planet and the story is about young people doing something to save the world they live on and to eventually find a parallel planet that can sustain us when we have finally ruined our planet completely. So at a guess it could be the lost planet but I think I might have to go and buy/borrow the book to be sure!WINS 2009 so far £212
WINS 2008 £823
WINS 2007 £14110 -
Are we going for Lost planet as answer then?0

Thank you for filling out the competition entry form.
You have now been entered into our competition.
so i don't think that the entry is on condition of the phone call, it may just be random. i hope it is anyway coz i'm rubbish at telling lies, she'd know that i'v not read it.0 -

Your library must be online? Visit your city councils website and you should find your local libraries websites there, you don't need your library card no. to search the library catalogue.
Just checked mine, not got it:mad: but have entered the competition with answer kindly provided by ellasmommy, Thanks:T Just hope I don't get the dreaded phone call, wouldn't have a clue what to say?!Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. :A0
