Not by PM please. Let us all know so that we can judge whether the pleasure might be worth the pain.:eek:0 -
As previously posted you need to meet specific guidelines to get this via the NHS however there is a thread that gives recommendations for buying on the internet

Well, it's up to you. The injection is called 'Caverject', it comes in a syringe with dry powder and you mix it up with a phial of sterile water which comes with it.
I am not going to give all the gory details, but suffice it to say, it is intended to be injected into the corpus cavernosum hence the name, and if you don't know where yours is, I suggest you look it up.
Most diabetics are used to giving themselves insulin by injection. I would certainly not suggest another person doing this, and although I'm well used to giving people injections, I wouldn't have done this for my DH.

We rarely use internet pharmacies because we have the NHS but people from other places use them all the time. In Florida (I know because I have a house there) it cost about $90 to see a doctor and then you pay market price for your medicine. If you are insured you often have an excess (they call it a deductible) of $500 so that you would only claim for something serious and not for a sore throat and a few pills. Prices vary so you should shop around but I have used

Also if you have to take something everyday like statins then they can be 40% cheaper from an internet pharmacy than a drug store. Not a problem if you are with the NHS but a huge difference if you have to pay the market price.0 -
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone thats replied so far. I understand that for some folk its not an easy subject. Thank you & keep the replies coming....with all best wishes0

I regularly take Carnitine to help with Post Polio Fatigue.
some time ago further deterioration in my peripheral nervous system meant my bladder ceased communicating with my brain and so for a while, I was on an indwelling catheter, which those who don't know means a thin pipe to drain from the bladder directly to a bag at the side of the bed. To stop the joint coming apart this requires a tie to hold the pipework the upper thigh. On the days when I took my Carnitine too near bedtime I had a problem (before I sussed that the carnitine was causing this effect) with nocturnal tumescence if I didn't allow sufficient room for expansion to the pipe tie.
If you search pubmed for Carnitine Erectile dysfunction you will find several papers reporting that it may help.
Carnitine versus androgen administration in the treatment of sexual dysfunction, depressed mood, and fatigue associated with male aging.
I use Zipvit Carnitine you will see from the research papers that it can be used to Acetyl-L-carnitine plus propionyl-L-carnitine improve efficacy of sildenafil in treatment of erectile dysfunction or it may help just on it's own (or as I found keep you UP all night whether you are in the mood or not)
The post polio paper I started with shows for fatigue you can take as much as you want until you get the runs and then take a bit less but I found a couple of tablets too late in the afternoon proved and inconvenience to me at the time.My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

Viagra did not work for DH. All he got was a thumping headache, and you mention high blood-pressure - this could be dangerous. It relaxes all blood-vessels throughout the body, not just where you want the increased blood supply!
Margaret
As a diabetic I was perscribed Cialis and I also got the headaches at first. Either reduce the dosage (as they come in different strenghts) or break the tablet in half and take with plenty of water and a bite to eat and off you go, this worked fine for me and the headaches stopped immediately. This may not work for everyone but it did the trick for me. Its strange reading how some people have trouble getting certain things, I was put on repeat perscription for these and eventually stopped collecting them as I now have more than I know what to do with as i don't use them everytime.0 -

This is one of the only posts I found searching for NHS coverage LOL.
Margaretclare you have got this down, have you or anyone you know tried caverject? I am diabetic and do have severe Erectile DysfunctionI have tried Viagra and Levitra but nothing really worked for me. My doctor sent me to a Urologist friend of his at a place called Boston Medical Group (http://www.bostonmedicalgroup.com), these guys specialize in ED when it is very bad! They prescribed caverject for me and I must say it is the only thing that can allow me to get an erection. When it comes to Viagra vs Caverject, for diabetics this is a no brainer, great discussion on this same issue:
http://www.edguider.com/forum/general-discussion/259-buying-caverject-injections-vs-viagra-anyone.html
Anyway, yes you do have to inject in the penis but for diabetics that is not as painful as it sounds. I know this post is old and no one might respond but does anyone if NHS covers Caverject? I have never been able to find out!
Thanks in advance,
