Yeah, i think i will look at a holiday. I will be getting quarterly reconciliation soon, which should give me some extra op before the end of the year.

Impressive op katejo! I am now also wondering if i will sell up when i pay off my mortgage and find a forever home

Not sure that my current one is a Forever home. When I retire, I may move again but perhaps slightly away from London.
  • Was chatting about getting a car with my hairdresser. He said one of the people in the salon has a huge mercedes that she loves but has £600 pm payments!!!! That is more than my mortgage!
Funnily enough, they still lives with their parents. Different priorities, i guess....

that's double my mortgage scary really
few of my mates have cars over £400 a month and have to pay a lump sum at the end to buy them seems crazy to me when cars of 3-5k do what you need them to

  • I know? I am looking at getting a new or nearly new car, but am looking at repayments around £200-215 pm, as that should be covered by my car allowance (plus company car tax rebate). *shakes head* i guess when we wonder how people can afford a new car every ouple of years, the answer is often - they can't.

  • Company shares just dropped in price due to extra shares being listed - just as i had got everything ready to sell. Oh dear, will hold onto them for a while and cash them in when price goes up again....oh well, don't need to cash right now

Cooker door broke - old and dirty appliance left by previous owner so no idea how old it was. Ordered a new one, as already limited delivery dates so goodess only knows what options after friday. Since hosting xmas this year i need a new one. Just hope it fits and removal process smooth. Also last appliance to be replaced (apart from boiler) in the kitchen, so hopefully last unexpected bill for a while......
