Good news re freezer … I've been thinking about something similar as do miss out on 'bargainous' big bits of meat etc with small freezer space. Also trying to focus on utilities … although as you say not the best time of yearHave you looked at the article on here re getting a water meter/ assessed bill, particularly if you travel a lot?

Just sent £3000 overpayment to bank. Still waiting for company shares to come through so i can cash them in, but the value has dropped (presumably since everyone is cashing in their shares through the building society) so might need to wait anyway until the share price climbs back up . With new car to save for plus ambitions to redo the bathroom not the best timing...Mortgage Free 20240

Ok, phoned through meter reading (been meaning to do it since august) and reduced my monthly payments by £14 per month or £168 pa. And i don't feel cold, so not scrimping for the sake of it. Though should really switch off more electrics at the plug rather than leaving them on standby...Mortgage Free 20240
