  • Congratulations, Karen - well done!

With the antepenultimate direct debit of the month leaving my account a couple of days ago, that's the last of my non-mortgage debt to financial institutions paid off. I have one CC, which is only carrying planned monthly expenditure (life's complicated, and BC offers pretty good currency exchange rates, better than my bank's), and a rather lonely Amex card, which is seldom accepted over here.

So according to financial institutions and the CRAs, I'm now a model citizen. I just have to repay the good old Bank of Mum and Dad now... OK it's quite a lot of money and will take a while... but still. w00t!
  • 2 for me today, CC under 6k and total debt now sub 12k, quite fancy an iced coffee :O)

A couple of milestones from me this month:

    1. I have now dropped under the 7k mark

    2. I have paid back 85.16% of the original total balance, just over 39k:o

A Long Island Tea sounds like a good choice, so I will have one of those please.

Well done everyone on some fab milestones!

My loan has dipped under 9K for the first time as of yesterday - very pleased!!
Let’s just pretend I have not been alternately drowning in debt or only eating toast to try and pay it off for the last 20 years 😭
  • Two milestones for me this week, my combined credit card and car loan debt is now 3 figures :) and the mortgage is out of the 60s and into the 50s, progress will be slower going forward but right now I'd like a glass of something bubbly, meh ok fizzy cos it's cheaper to celebrate
