Glass of prosecco please bartender. I can't quite believe I've just made the final payment on my Natwe$t loan!
I stupidly took out a £6000 consolidation loan in 2011. I used it to pay off several credit cards but I hadn't had my lightbulb moment and my spending habits had not changed so guess what - I eventually maxed out all the cards again!
It's taken 4 long years to get rid of that damn loan, at around £200 a month. Here's to never, ever being so dumb again - CHEERS! :beer:Starting 2016 debt-free

I didn't just get below 10k I manged to get below 9K as well. I have also now paid off over 75% of my debt, hence the double.

First of our debts totally cleared. We have paid up VERY and avoided dreaded buy now pay later interest, so I am really happy.
Still a long way to go for us, but this is a major milestone in our journey - pre LBM days I would have been thinking about ordering more from VERY on BNPL to cover that looming event called Christmas. Now Christmas has been planned and budgeted for throughout the year. I only have a few more presents to buy and I am sorted

well it's been a verrrry long journey for me but my total debt is now UNDER £150! I have managed to knock a grand off my debt in the past month with some amazing freelance opportunities that came my way.
Looks like I'll now be debt-free for Christmas!
