Asda value sparking water for me tonight. Quietly celebrating debt dipping below £10,000 for the first time in probably the last decade.
Cheers all! :beer:0 -

A little bit late, but I started on YNAB last month, (ridiculously addicted to it!) and for the first time in I-don't-know-how-long I was in credit at the end of the month!
Thinking about money in categories has really helped to focus my spending.
I'm not in debt anymore, so my next milestone is my Emergency Fund!0 -

Its amazing isnt it. Since starting it in the spring i havent been overdrawn once. This is unbelievable for me. Other than planned expenditure which has been paid off in full ihavent added a penny to my CC's either. If i had learnt how to budget in my teens or twenties i may well be a millionaire by now!!£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000

That's SO true! It's funny as I'm no better paid, in fact, I earn less at the moment than I have previously, but when I think of the money I've spent with nothing to show for it :eek:
As YNAB says though, it's present and future, not the past that are important! Onwards to the next milestone!! :money:0 -
I'm having a small celebration today, I paid a large chunk of money off my lloyds credit card :j I'm just waiting for a cheque to clear to pay some more off and then I've got enough in savings to pay the balance, don't want to wipe my savings out so just waiting to get paid at the end of the month and that will be the end of that card :T That will just leave my Next account and my overdraft which I could clear by December if it wasn't for Christmas but it does mean I should be debt free by Jan/Feb which will be the first time in around 15 years! I'm so excited I can hardly wait!!0
