I'm not sure if this really counts but I realised today that the amount I hold in shares through work are now higher than my current debt (well it will be by the end of the month when I get my statement from my dad). I don't have access to these at the moment but it feels kinda nice to know that I have them there in the background.

As that is the case I will have a shandy!

  • Hello everyone!

Well I hit a little milestone today - my debt is now officially under £21000 (still huge but better than the £29400 this time last year, and the £25100 it was in July)

Feeling very accomplished right now, and so very motivated! Tried to convince OH to let me sell one of our TVs today to put more money towards my debt (we had one each when we moved in together and now one is the playstation TV in the dining room and the normal one in the lounge....he wasn't keen on parting with his playstation screen :rotfl:
    :j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
    Mortgage - £151.316.54

I am celebrating the fact that I haven't used my credit card in a month, which is damn good going!! I've enjoyed an nice cold, ice cold cider tonight to celebrate!:j
Debt as of Sept' 2015 (LBM!): £36,351  (sickening)
Monthly outgoings on debt alone: £1243/month

We're on the right path, we got ourselves here..we're a bit lost, but we'll find our way back again!
  • Morning all mines a coffee bit early for alcohol

Hit £500 in my emergency fund yesterday :j
As of 24th August 2016 total money owed was
    £15,708
  • My first huge milestone...the first of my 11 debts will be paid when October's payment to SC is made:j

I have also phoned the bank to check the balance outstanding on the loan...£45.23p:j This was a 10k loan and has taken me 5 years and 3 months to pay back on my DMP. When I first defaulted on my debts there was no way I could have made that phone call...and I could not have done all this without this forum and the different threads:T

I'm off for a lie down but I will be having a large glass of something later this evening.

    Ellie xx
