I haven't been around for a while so I've just read this thread through from the begining - what a lot of inspiration! :)

My milestone - I've had my two defaults come off my credit report in the last two months - makes me feel financially "clean" even though I'm not quite DF. I've now taken out a credit card to build up my credit rating - and set up a direct debit to pay it off in full every month!

    Hi all, good morning!

Just found this great thread and i would like to join in please. My milestone is that DH and I managed to reduce our cc debt to £773 (98.4%), as you can see from my sig. We're hoping to fully pay the remaining balance at the end of this month. It is going to be tight come September but to finally be debt-free after six years will be a massive achievement.

Haven't read all the posts from the very beginning yet, but I am sure all your experiences are inspirational. Cheers to everybody who have reached milestones and are continuously making victories against debt!

Surprised that what can be done with debt with a little effort.

cheers all! I have a milestone in sight but not sure I'll get there this month - if I can scrape 70 ish quid together I will be in the 7000s which will be nice - so I'll put a bottle of bubbly on ice and share it gladly with y'all if I get there!

My milestone is I have as of today got all my remaining debt onto a 0% card over 15 months I've had to work hard over the last month to pay off the remainder that was on an interest card. Now every penny can go towards knocking down that final £3,300. Really excited!

Well got up this morning debt free and the sun is shining. Last night I paid the final payment to an unsecured loan attached to our mortgage. We now have a zero balance on our credit card and a zero balance on the loan, so we're officially debt free. After two years of being desperate to do it, I posted on the 'Debt Free Roll of Honour' last night with a huge sigh of relief.

It may be too early but hey it's a special occasion, landlady could you kindly open the Champagne? I shall toast this achievement then move on to the next target.................THE MORTGAGE! Dreading this, as it's going to be a long 5 years and a lot could happen in this time to scupper things. Keeping my fingers crossed all goes to plan.

Well done everyone else on their achievements and good luck for your next targets. :)
Note to self: The kids are alive & well with a bright future ahead of them.
