  • It is a bit early but I'd like a glass of something cold and bubbly to celebrate paying off one credit card with just one more to go. Oh and I've repaid £20K as well!

Well I am sort of at a milestone! I now have only 3 more DMP payments until I am debt free. Next payment will see the Tesco CC paid off, then one after that my Halifax CC, and November payment will see me debt free (although not OH because he's still got his Halifax CC). I'm hoping we can clear that pretty soon afterwards, but he's also got an account with JDWilliams:( Not quite the progress I had hoped for but nevertheless it is still progress!

PS Well done LittleDutchGirl, I will raise my glass with you!

  • I reached a milestone today, well, £32 short officially, but I am going to claim it anyway - £5k to go!!!
£22k debt paid off and now to save (£5k saved so far 20.12.2017)
  • Hello everybody! I would like to share my good news. As of Thursday, we have sent our last payment to our credit card! I have wanted to shout to the roof top the debt free scream but held back until we could actually see the updated balance with the three magical letters NIL. Next target for us will be to have a healthy emergency fund equal to three months living expenses and then start the mortgage free journey. Cheers to all!

Getting PPI back from santander which will put my total debt to almost £5,000 I thought I would never see the day as it would take so long to get there so feeling quite happy about it as my debt was just over £20,000 3 months ago! This should mean I should be debt free early 2016 and then I can use the money I have been using to service my debts on saving a deposit to move house! So excited I could scream

Dropping in for a swift half today as it's Bank Holiday and probably won't get chance tomorrow.

September sees my debt paid at 75%
