There getting rid of contributory esa and jsa as well as limiting child benefit to two children. I agree all benefits should be means tested.

You obviously do not have a disability and clearly do not rely on disability benefits to survive day to day - do you ?0 -
So if you have paid your NI contributions for decades, you shouldn't be entitled to anything if you have managed to accumulate a bit?
However, if you have never paid any contributions, then you should be entitled?
Surely it should be the other way around?

I don't disagree with that in any way, but, please forgive me because I really don't know the different 'benefits', is DLA/PIP the same £amount I]regardless[/I] of condition ?0 -

Does that matter? I was merely pointing out that if you had an income or capital over a prescribed limit you wouldn't need additional government funding - you would have enough to fund yourself.0 -

Your NI contributions pay for a lot of other things other than a 'pot' so that you are able to draw on it at a later date.
Get rid of all contribution based benefits and just think how much more money could be sent in the direction of the NHS?0 -
