There getting rid of contributory esa and jsa as well as limiting child benefit to two children. I agree all benefits should be means tested.

Thanks, are they? Well about time too.

They should take the bull by the horns and make ALL welfare benefits means tested including the State Pension.

You obviously do not have a disability and clearly do not rely on disability benefits to survive day to day - do you ?

So if you have paid your NI contributions for decades, you shouldn't be entitled to anything if you have managed to accumulate a bit?

However, if you have never paid any contributions, then you should be entitled?

Surely it should be the other way around?

What a crazy world we live in:(

For many people, their disability costs far more than the benefits they receive. Why should they be worse off than they already are, because they have a disability?

I don't disagree with that in any way, but, please forgive me because I really don't know the different 'benefits', is DLA/PIP the same £amount I]regardless[/I] of condition ?

Does that matter? I was merely pointing out that if you had an income or capital over a prescribed limit you wouldn't need additional government funding - you would have enough to fund yourself.

Your NI contributions pay for a lot of other things other than a 'pot' so that you are able to draw on it at a later date.
Get rid of all contribution based benefits and just think how much more money could be sent in the direction of the NHS?

I would appreciate an answer to my assumption..
    Are you disabled ?
Do you rely on Disability benefits for day to day living ?
