Evening all, a fairly productive day today

WMx4, TD x 4 folded ready of OH to iron
hoovered spare room and study
whisked round in bathroom
walked into town for a hair cut and then back again (5000+ steps0
have just started walking on the treadmill too, OH and I take it in turns to do 1K each , last night we did 4K each!!!
Have also managed to eat healthily today as well so a good day around!!Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0 -
haha.. no ... he has 2 of the 9 I have at home.
Re the Xbox time.. just go with it.. they get it out of their system and in a few weeks/month/years he will grow a social life and be less interested in playing 24/7 because he has done it already and it holds no appeal.. banning stuff and restricting it to silly levels makes them want it more .. you know like when you are on a diet and ban yourself from yummy things you want them so much more than you normally do.. it works the same.
Cheers, that made me feel better. I just remember all the hours my brother spent on his Sega Megadrive back in the day. He has now got a high flying job and earns loads more than me so it didnt do him any harm! And yeah I did think that you probably still had some of your brood at home but still ..0 -
Evening all, you've all been so busy. I know this is only a four day week but it feels so loooong....
Narco, hope you can salvage the summerhouse/bench which is lovely btw.
No flying tonight for me apart from dailies - dog walk, cook dinner, WUDUPA.
Think I might tackle the kitchen in the morning before the paid stuff.
Night night all.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Evening!
Blowing a hoolie here - all day. One more day at paid stuff
Zilch flying done. Unless you count setting DW going after dinner. Spent my Mr S double up vouchers - quite pleased. DD has new pjs, knicks, dress and leggings set and the next size up ballet pumps, and I have the next size down jeggings :T and a new top for workcame to £66 and cost me less than £30.
Aww this is lovely: a couple of months ago MIL was looking with her friend at how much a train trip on V!rgin East Coast "super fast" train "with a cafe" would be as a treat for DS. Her friend took it upon herself to write to the train company, explaining how DS was a huge fan of trains (I think she may have mentioned why he's special too) and that he'd really love a special trip - and they have sent him 3 complimentary first class tickets, including a meal, for a journey of his choice! He's absolutely made up! So the inlaws are taking him after the easter hols
Right, I need an early night, left the house at 6am and need to be out by 7.30 tomorrow

Narco, at least it landed in a clean pond rather than a manky one, hope it is ok once stood back up.
Just going to do a little ironing then call it a day, tired atm, I think it is AF but I don't want to go back on any supplements until after my next lot of bloods later in the month so I had steak for dinner (not a huge fan) along with the boys for DS2's birthday. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Supporting vibes and (((hugs))) to Drizzle and family.
I hate the predictive text on my K1nd1e
Sorry, Frizzle!
I tried to stand on my head to admire your summer house, Narc0, and it looks really nice. Hope it's not too badly damaged.
Had a great day in London and a good journey home. An elderly gent getting off the train a couple of stops before us stopped to compliment me on the excellent behaviour of DGS1+2, who spent the 2-hour journey quietly reading or playing games on my K!nd1e -they are only 6½ and 5 years old. I told them that I am very proud of them :T:T They have only just gone to bed but will therefore hopefully not be up at crack of dawn
DH has gone to model railway club, so I will prepare the lasagne for tomorrow's tea and then enjoy having the TV to myself for an hour or so.
ETA: Bossy, what a lovely treat for your DS and how kind of your MiL's friend0 -
Narco - you can be GLAD (see location<) that it didn't blow into the greenhouse! And it doesn't look badly damaged - is it?
Thankfully not, although we are concerned that the liner of the pond may have been punctured. We'll check the level tomorrow. Our kind, and very strong, tall neighbour waded into the pond (it had to fall in the deep bit) and supported one end while his wife, Mr N and I took a corner each to get it out. It will be really pants if the liner is punctured; we only had it re-shaped and with a new liner 18 months ago at considerable expense. Mr N has put a couple of brackets holding it to the deck for the time being, and we'll do a proper evaluation at the weekend. Of course just after we pulled it out, it started hailing!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -

Thanks. This is what it looked like last July when newly put up http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f303/Narc0lepsy/DSCN4092_zps4jppiukh.jpg

Bossy that is lovely. I hope he has a wonderful time on his train trip.
Narco your graden is stunning, I do hope the summerhouse can be salvaged.
Just watched back in time for tea, I can't remember eating that much junk in the 70s. Then watched an episode of call the midwife, I'm only on the first series of that - it was a Mother's Day pres last year that I've only just got round to.
Going to do the pack ups then call it a night.
Night all.SPC~12 ot 124
