Just popping in to say a quick hello. Today I finally handed my coursework in. So I am delighted to say that I can relax....

Just got back from a trip to see Hairspray at the theatre. It was absolutely awesome.

Tomorrow DD2 has a hospital appointment. It's with the IBS nurse. Poor DD2 is dreading it - largely because this nurse has children at the after school club where she works. I'm sure it will be fine, but poor DD2 is stressing.

Came home to discover from Facebook that my mum and sister are go I g on a cruise. Not quite certain how I feel about it, but my invitation definitely got lost in the post!

Hope everyone is well. Catch you all tomorrow...

    Evening!
Aww this is lovely: a couple of months ago MIL was looking with her friend at how much a train trip on V!rgin East Coast "super fast" train "with a cafe" would be as a treat for DS. Her friend took it upon herself to write to the train company, explaining how DS was a huge fan of trains (I think she may have mentioned why he's special too) and that he'd really love a special trip - and they have sent him 3 complimentary first class tickets, including a meal, for a journey of his choice! He's absolutely made up! So the inlaws are taking him after the easter hols :D

What a lovely present. I love trains. I'm sure he will have a great time.

Pigpen- thanks for the next info. I had a look and unfortunately nothing in ds1's size. It was worth a look though!
Narco- you have a lovely garden.

Thank you for all your gws wishes for my dad. He's doing ok, still confused and disorientated. He is getting cross with the nurses as he wants to walk to the toilet and can't understand why they won't let him! He can't even stand up properly at the moment! My dad is my hero. He had two brain tumours when he was in early thirties and has been disabled ever since. He has always been a glass half full kinda guy and refused to give up when he had to learn to walk and talk again. He's now 59 and the last few years have been a struggle for him. He seems to have changed so quickly. It broke my heart to see him and not be able to help him. It's hard to have a conversation but I hope just being there shows him how much he is loved.

Enough of my wallowing and back to fly news!
I did 3 hours of ironing tonight and my ironing basket is empty :T
Didn't manage to do the bathrooms tho but I will do them tomorrow!

Twinkling Tuesday - Bathrooms and office/study type places.
    Vacuum the floors
Clean bath, toilets, shower and sinks
    polish mirrors!

    Morning flyladies.
Mrs MP - I've only just read a book this week that I got for Mother's Day last year
    Frizzle - hugs
CY - well done on getting your course work in. Hope all goes well with DD

Right, I'd better spend half an hour trying to make my kitchen look spick and span. It won't be enough.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all
CY, I can understand how you feel, even if you weren't to be included in the cruise FB is not the way to find something like that out! It would have been nice to be included in the discussions and plans even if YOU decided that because of family commitments you couldn't go.
frizzle hugs and posi vibes for you and your Dad.
Going to try and get MILs cleaning done this morning and what bit of ironing there is cleared as tomorrow will be busy, DS2 has his birthday and I've got a govs meeting to teach us how to access minutes digitally so we don't have to use so much paper.

Hugs to all that need them
Glad the wind seems to have dropped

    Morning

Bossy, thats lovely, hope he has a great time.

Stressed this morning, hope this is not a bad sign. Wasted time looking for the exercise book I use to keep a note of my spending and got really cross because I couldnt find it. It was in with DSs school books. Then I realised the bins were a day early and had to run out in my dressing gown.

Have got to get both kids to different ends of town and then to work. Important meeting at 9am so I wanted to be a bit early. Better get moving!

    Have a good Wednesday everyone.

    Morning all.

Woken up by two happy little voices this morning - a good night's sleep was had by all and there is no bedding to wash this morning :) They're now playing with the 1ego. DGS1 has built a very realistic plane, and DGS2 has built a totally imaginative pie truck which mixes the ingredients, cooks the pies and then delivers them to the shops - they are such different characters, and very good friends to one another :)

    Plan for today is easy:
    - get up (we're all still in our PJs, DH is still in bed)
    - have a leisurely breakfast
    - climbe the big hill behind the rock houses. Unfortunately I don't think the houses themselves will be open today, although when we were there a week or so ago, the site manager said she might open on the Wednesday if they got a lot of egg hunting families. If not, we'll look at the outside and view inside another
    - do the NT Easter egg hunt
    - have lunch out somewhere, or come home
    - play with the garden railway with DH
    - meanwhile, I might manage to mow the lawn
    - DS1, DDiL1 and DGD1+2 are coming to tea and play. Lasagne, jacket pots and lots of veg, followed by jelly and ice cream - easy!
    - bed for the boys, TV for me and DH

Not much flying in that plan :o but I will follow Natty's orders to
Clear a hotspot and replace only what should be there (kitchen table)
    Wipe and water any plants
Polish any mirrors and pictures and glassware
    Test those smoke alarms
...and I'll also tidy and clean the back porch when I've finished carrying grass cuttings through to the bin.

Well done on completing your coursework CY. Yes, it would have been nice to have been asked to go on the cruise.... Supportive vibes to your DD2 today. A few years ago my GP lived locally and was the father of three girls that I taught, and when I asked if he minded seeing me at the surgery he said to me, "When you come here, I'm the doctor and you're the patient. When I come into school, you're the teacher and I'm the parent. When we meet in the street, we're friends." Hopefully the nurse will have the same professional attitude.

Wishing everyone a productive day and at least one happy thing to remember at the end of it - (((hugs))), spoons and sticks to anyone who needs them x
