Took slightly longer than planned but the cupboard is shut! I've got a few bits to go throguh that are still out. The Amin thing is there is space in there and I can see what I've got now. Just need to go through my knitting needles as I'm sure I have a few spares that can go to the CS. I've also found some more DMC threads that need winding onto bobbins so they can go in the boxes with the others I have
How did you get on Lynne or are you still busy?

I'm done as well Mrs MP !! Thanks for the support :)

I was slightly side-tracked into emptying out the cupboard under the sink, then my make-up bag in there and finally moved the blasted thing out and did all the floor. Puff !! Waiting for it to dry but all ready to put back.

Must go back into kitchen and start on the dinner in a mo. Last of chicken is going to be done in mustard, cream and dill sauce so doesn't take long. Have some roasties left for DH and we'll have some more steamed veggies.

I suppose DH will be watching the footie tonight so I'll get stuck into some of the mountains of paperwork I've pulled out the cupboard

washing washed,, dried, folded and away.
1 binbag of rubbish from the middle room.. in my grotty corner.. I may be a piggy for real!!
Meat delivery away, Tesco delivery away.

OHs mum miffed with him.. he is refusing to have his sister stay there if we are there after she behaved improperly when we were there at Christmas and the previous time we went. He is quite upset that they seem to think it is ok for her to be high as a kite and/or drunk when we are there and that he is being unreasonable. They just have no respect for his feelings or his trying to keep the girls safe.. she was asleep, !!!!!! as a fart on top of the girls with a duvet over them all one night.. it's just not safe and he is worried by it. He also feels they lied the last 2 times we went saying she isn't drinking/snorting and when we get there she clearly is. I'm trying to say nothing but I have to respect that these are his children too and I will stand by his decision... unless he is utterly unreasonable.

I have 2 boxes of shoes for OH's cousin and a binbag of coats and stuff.

Best go sort food for the flock of starvation.

Then I need to relocate my bed.. 2 binbags of rubbish from my room and a few empty boxes flung.

Impressed with myself today despite recovering from the sickness bug I've managed to strip one bed and remake, done 3 loads of washing (now on airers). Had a nice shower, fed the kids, washed up. Just got to get the kids bathed and remain tickrtyboo so I can make it into school tomorrow plus school meeting afterwards.

Sorry your having family issues Pigpen.
    Hugs to all

    Hi all

Pigpen - does the girls going mean that you actually get a bit of time to yourself for once? Try and make the most of it if you do. Feet up time.

DS2 is spending waay too much time on the Xbox - to quote hubby he is in FIFA land. I feel guilty because I having been working a lot and we live in the middle of nowhere so he cant meet up with mates unless one us drives him. He was supposed to be going to a friends for the day tomorrow but his friend has got a sickness bug. Sigh.

So, bathroom to finish then an hours paid stuff on job number 2 which I really dont want to do but it will be OK once I get going.

Elastic, very exciting plans. I am sure it will be worth the upheaval.

    Right, things to do ...

haha.. no ... he has 2 of the 9 I have at home.

Re the Xbox time.. just go with it.. they get it out of their system and in a few weeks/month/years he will grow a social life and be less interested in playing 24/7 because he has done it already and it holds no appeal.. banning stuff and restricting it to silly levels makes them want it more .. you know like when you are on a diet and ban yourself from yummy things you want them so much more than you normally do.. it works the same.

Spoke too soon when I said no damage done in the garden in the wind. Here is our poor 'summer house'/seat which we slaved over making last year

I promised my friend that, if she bought the fabric, I would stitch the stall cover so all hanging sections are cut out, and sides folded. It will be a rectangular top with flaps that fold down, which can be tied to the table legs, so that the cover can't be pulled off by little fingers/being trapped in a buggy or similar and there's no loose, flappy fabric at the corners like a tablecloth.

I have sewn 4 of the 8 ties, and started the hems.

I have made a SW curry with 'nearly' pilau raice for my tea - no peas so I used sweetcorn :rotfl: Curry was a mushroom one, the mushrooms were YS to 3p! It was ok - perhaps I would have had more luck with low fat yoghurt instead of fat-free Total!

Narco - you can be GLAD (see location<) that it didn't blow into the greenhouse! And it doesn't look badly damaged - is it?
